Boutique and luxurious! Spotlessly clean rooms and friendly staff… Everyone was so warm and welcoming that it made us feel absolutely amazing. At first, we were unsure whether to book this hotel, but after staying here, we can confidently say that if we return to Kos Island, we will definitely stay here again. The food is also excellent – there’s no need to look for a place to eat outside. The manager is always present and hands-on (honestly, you won’t find such a dedicated manager available 24/7 at any other hotel), and the bellboys are super sweet. To be honest, we loved every single member of the staff. Huge thanks to everyone!

FAQs about hotels on Kos

A Cultural Crossroad

Birthplace of the father of medicine, Hippocrates, Kos is the 3rd largest island of the Dodecanese. Located in the south Aegean region, this green island has a temperate climate, palm tree-lined avenues, and crystalline blue waters, all accessible by bike.

Featuring a great selection of 5-star hotels and all inclusive resorts, Kos is a tourist and cultural gem with long hours of sunshine and intense nightlife. Kardamena is a popular resort for young holidaymakers, offering a large number of bars and nightclubs.

Founded in 366 BC, Kos Town is home of the imposing medieval Castle of the Knights of Saint John. The traditional village of Afsendiou is a stunning paradise with narrow alleys and spring waters. Another must-see is the picturesque village of Antimachia, with the Venetian castle and the original windmills.

Kefalos village is home of one of the most magnificent Kos beaches, as well as the iconic small island of Kastri. If you are travelling with kids, do not miss Tigaki, a long sandy beach with shallow waters and sun loungers. Savour fresh fish in Mastichari, while enjoying the majestic view of the port.

Booking.com provides everything from hotels and apartments to guest houses, including some near Kos Airport, the second closest airport to Bodrum.

Everything in Kos town is within walking distance from the beach to the old town. Numerous restaurants cater for every need from a simple Gyros to exceptional seafood dishes.

    Mastichari is lovely!

Mastichari is lovely! It is a chilled Greek village beside a beach with a small terminal for ferries to / from Kalymnos, and a bus stop that will get you to Kos town or the airport. There is a nice variety of tavernas for traditional Greek food, and a handful of bars. Prices in Mastichari are much cheaper than in Kos town! There are a selection of shops that sell a mixture of groceries, booze, and souvenirs. If you need a big supermarket, head up the hill out of the village and you will come to Constantinos, which has everything you need. There's also plenty of places to hire cars etc. The beach is right beside the village. It is very chilled. There are no noisy bars churning out loud music, or noisy motorised watersports. There are some sunbeds, but the beach is not dominated by them. Most of the holiday makers we saw were, like us, middle aged or older (this is not a criticism!). If you are younger and / or want a lively nightlife, this village may not be for you. Everything is fairly flat (unless you go up that big hill above the village), but you will need to tackle a step or two to get into shops and tavernas. The smaller hotels here will have stairs, not lifts, so do your research if accessibility is an issue for you.

Tigaki in Kos is a fantastic destination, with beautiful beaches, charming local restaurants, and a relaxed vibe that’s perfect for a getaway. It's a very small town, there isn't much to see or do. You can pretty much walk in two directions. But Tigaki is close, there's a bit more variety of restaurants and bars and cafes. The beach in Marmari is perfect though! And it's very safe and quiet. I would recommend renting a car anyway, because there's not much else to do and you will be more flexible that way. The sunsets in Marmari are very beautiful!

We stayed at Mastichari and it proved to be a great choice for the second week of August because there was always some breeze comparing to other places were the heat was unbearable. The beach is long and sandy but has also a lot of seaweed. It’s a small place, nothing exceptional but nice connection to other islands and for touring around Kos. Good food and friendly locals 👍🏻

Good beach- especially for children as shallow, sandy and calm. Too many sunbeds from huge hotel complex but some beach available. Lovely views out to see and to islands. Some great places to eat. Easy to get a bus to Kos town, to the airport and a couple of other places.

It depends on what you want. Parts are aimed at tourists. But it's worth a wander. The old town is worth a half day. There are sufficient good restaurants, especially at the top end of the pedestrian are that's worth a visit. Restaurants and bars are competitive so prices are vert reasonable. A visit to the nearby islands are well worth it. There is public transport making it easy and affordable to travel round the island
