Beautiful and luxurious hotel on the waterfront in Kalamata, with large rooms offering all facilities that one could want. I very much enjoyed the view on the harbour/sea. Breakfast was excellent and tasty, and we received very friendly and competent service from the staff. The terrace was a lovely spot both for breakfast and evening drinks. Probably one of the best hotels in town!

Quiet, relaxing, clean Nice restaurant for breakfast/dinner on site Maria was very welcoming and helpful with everything- including late checkout without extra charge.     I came to Messina Resort for just two days... a spontaneous “me time” escape from my own role in the hospitality industry. I left wishing I had booked a full week (if I had a full week during peak season) From the moment I arrived, the warm welcome was genuine: Cici at check-in set the tone with a bright smile and smooth process. My room was lovely, clean, comfortable, and calming, with peaceful moments spent on the terrace gazing out at the graceful palm trees. Just what I needed to recharge. The beach was beautiful (note to self: bring those rock-water shoes next time!), the pool absolutely YES, and the food? Delicious. Kudos to the Chef! Every staff interaction came with a smile... Special thanks to Leonidas and Spyros at the bar, Ramona with the Corona (you’re a star!), Xrysanthi at the front office, and Spyros on the phone, whose warmth literally traveled through the line. And then… there was Vasilis, the Operations Manager. I had a minor disappointment regarding a requested service, a small miscommunication, and after receiving one or two unsatisfying replies via Booking.com, I honestly didn’t expect much else. But Vasilis completely turned the situation around. Despite it being high season and his plate clearly full, he took the time not only to personally respond to my message but also to sit down with me, face to face, to talk. Not just about my stay, but about our shared world: hospitality. His openness, professionalism, and thoughtful conversation were the surprise highlight of my stay. It's rare to meet a leader who listens so genuinely and acts with both care and competence. I may have missed the chance for a massage, and next time I’ll definitely go horseback riding, but I’ll gladly return for the smiles of these wonderful people. Because no matter how pretty the pool or how tasty the food, it’s always the people that make a place worth returning to. Thank you all at Messina Resort. See you very soon!

    The location is spectacular. I only had to walk a couple of minutes to be on the beach. The apartment had a small terrace only for us, and we could park right next to the house. The house itselt was perfect, although the cupboards were completely empty (meaning no instant coffee or tea, or salt/pepper/oil). The bathroom has a large shower and was very comfortable. I woke up to see the sunrise and there was NOBODY on the beach, which made it priceless. Going to Koroni for dinner took a 15 minutes ride and the town is adorable. Breakfast at Peroulia's house beach restaurant was delicious.

    We stayed in Kalamata only for two nights (Sunday and Monday) so there was not a lot of action, but there were plenty of restaurants, bars, and people enjoying the nice weather. Everyone was very friendly and the town was clean and felt safe to walk around at night. We really liked it. Unfortunately we did not visit any cultural or historic places. We spent the day at Agios Beach (30 minutes away), which is a sandy long beach, with plenty of activities for kids and nice umbrellas and lounge chairs to rest, and a nice simple restaurant by the water.

    Stoupa is beautiful and has a nice sandy beach. Unfortunately the sunbeds are very close together, making it feel quite crowded. There are some other beautiful beaches not too far away, but they are all pebble beaches so you really need beach shoes to walk on them! The waters are crystal clear, great for swimming and snorkelling. You can rent a peddalo with a slide....great fun! or a kayak or even a little speedboat to explore the coast. Best to have a car to get around as the busses are far and few between. A good selection of restaurants to choose from and there are some nice little shops along the sea front. We will definitely return.

    One of the best cities we have visitted in Peloponnese, the main reason being the amazing scenic beaches that are located quite close. The main Pylos square beatiful and it takes you back in time with the tall trees and the vibrant atmosphere. You can rent a boat if you know how to drive one, take organised cruises from Pylos or Gialova and visit Methoni, Foinikounta, and other amazing little cities around. Go there, you will not regret it!

    The local Taverna along Artaki bay has excellent traditional food and the best view of the bay and Koroni. We loved to walk through the little streets and steps going up to the castle and monastry with lovely views over Koroni and Zaga beach the other side that you can walk to.

    Majestic with a castle and the crystal blue waters as a backdrop. Methoni is for everyone - it has history, beach, shopping, friendly and welcoming people and amazing food. I highly recommend making a reservation at Castro (a reservation because you will not get a table unless you do) for a delightful cuisine and spectacular view at sunset. You will not regret it.     A traditional small town, friendly community with small shops suitable for a relaxed break away. The Namaste Beach Bar was a real find and we spent most days there - the food was great and the staff were friendly. Several restaurants and coffee/bar places to chill out, eat, drink and relax. The best food we ate was along at the end of the town, a modern looking raised restaurant over looking the bay. The staff in the little supermarket in the main square were very helpful and friendly.

    Nice little town with a beautiful central square with a modern playground and a lot of nice cafes and restaurants around it. Very close to the beautiful Bouka beach. It is in the ideal location for many excursions in the surrounding area, all the main tourist attractions are within 45-60 mins slow drive
