- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 220 reviewsLocation is fantastic - small, sandy, private beach with sunbeds included. Hotel is fully complimenting 3 stars, you need to know it is not luxury, but great for family. We did not take there breakfast, but we ate lunch there few times and found it as good price and quality - local kitchen, large portions and very tasty. Also clean and good swimming pool. Room cleaning every day. All rooms has sea view and family rooms are with 2 bedrooms. And checkout at 12:00 :) Tip - there is no need for a car on the island. Nowhere to drive and hard with parking. For island exploration can take quad for rentals from 30 eur. You can leave car in Galatas.Guest review byKasparsLatvia

We stayed with our children in a very spacious room that lacked nothing. Polite staff, fantastic view, nice food in the restaurant, super clean all around, with playground for children, pool and the sea at our feet! We felt like family, everyone taking care os us. We will definitely coming back again and again. Thank you to the wonderful team, and the management who make all this team work like clock ♥️Guest review byana belenSpain
- From £71.91 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 473 reviewsThe hotel offers tranquility to its guests (the name of the hotel is Galini that means tranquility). It is a comfortable hotel with spacious rooms. The personnel is friendly and polite. The ratio between quality and price is actually high. We stayed in a quadruple room with two children and were thoroughly satisfied with our stay. In addition, the location is very close to both restaurants and the beach of Agia Marina.Guest review byNikolaosGreece
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 494 reviewsThe hotel is absolutely stunning. It’s tastefully decorated in a historic style. The hotel is spotless and we loved access to drinking water for free all day. The breakfast was also one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had, coffee, fresh fruit, excellent eggs and bread. Hydra is absolutely gorgeous and this was the ideal base to explore the island. I want to come back every year!Guest review bySoryahUnited Kingdom

We had choice to go to one of three closest islands near Athens. Aegina is big and the closest to Athens so quite crowded on weekends where Athenians escape from the heat. Hydra is quite beautiful but a bit expensive, no sandy beaches near center and no transport on island except of horses and donkeys (it is charming, though, worth to visit for one day). So the last choice was Poros, with moderate prices, nice beaches, even free municipal bus, and 5 minutes boat ride to the mainland village of Galatas, which also has great restaurants to enjoy authentic Greek cuisine.Guest review byKA111ERGeorgia - 10.0
Hydra was my favorite stop in Greece.
Hydra was my favorite stop in Greece. Lovely little island, no cars, lots of art, cute unique boutiques, easy access to interesting sites… not too much touristy junk. Food was delicious and affordable.Guest review bySamUnited States - 10.0

Extremely clear and warm waters! The island is generally green! Overall the location has everything you need, such as several restaurants and bars, however it does not have many bank services for withdrawing money!Guest review byChristosGreece - 10.0

Nice beaches, nice vibes, beautiful buildings/architecture, nice strolls and walks, several cultural and historic references, nice restaurants, friendly people, perfect for a short getaway from Athens. Transportation is tricky though, the only working option is a scooter that needs to be booked much in advance. Also, if it's windy, some nice beaches are not easily accessibleGuest review byVirginiaGreece - 10.0

A colorful and vibrant island, with beautiful shops and excellent restaurants. Like everywhere in Greece, the locals are friendly, and the atmosphere is wonderful. When booking the ferry, pay attention—there are two ports on the island: one is the main port, and the other is secondary. The main port brings you closer to the livelier, more touristy area. In any case, even if you arrive at the other port by mistake, you can easily take a taxi or a bus to the other side of the island.Guest review byLeviaIsrael - 10.0

In general south part of Aegina is much better than the northern part. Perdika is a really nice place to stay, close to Marathonas, Sarpa and Klima beach (by far go to Klima beach). Marathonas is good for families with young children as the sea is not deep. Probably some more dinning options (other than Perdika fishing port) would be good, but Aegina city center is really close, not more than 15 mins drive.Guest review byIoannis MalliosGreece - 10.0

Souvala is quieter than Aegina Town but that is not a bad thing. It is more laid back. It has some good tavernas, bars and restaurants. The souvlaki at Theophilos is to die for. With a Greek salad and a small Carafe of wine , two Souvlakis 17 Euros. That's great. There us a,small beach near the small harbour. There is also a another beach slightly out of the town which in high season has sunbeds and a bar. Just a short walk.. Souvala has a good Supermarket Bakery and some other little shops too. Lovely little place. And 15 mins by taxi to.Aegina,Town .Guest review byRosalindUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The location is quiet and relatively far away from the town, I mentioned relatively as the island is small so it doesn't take long to travel. So it's a good opportunity to stay in a quiet place with not much distance from the town. Still there are a few places to eat. The taxi will cost more to come there to take you to town, so instead of 18 euros you will pay 25.Guest review byIAKOVOSUnited Kingdom
