Stunning place to visit particularly for History lovers.
Stunning place to visit particularly for History lovers. So many little sights like diocletians palace, Gregor of Nin statue, Bell tower etc. Even though touristy felt safe throughout and the night life was alive. I would recommend doing the island tour from Split to see places like Vis and HvarGuest review byGaryUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Dubrovnik is a wonderful place to visit, lots of interesting places to see in and around the City. The old Town itself was beautiful with the city walls surrounding the city so the views all around were amazing. I would definitely recommend people to visit. We ate in several of the restaurants in the town from Pizza to Pasta, mexican and local food, we did the Game of Thrones walking tour and also visited the Panorama restaurant on top of the hill via the cable car. Again this is worth a visit, just to see all the views. Also visited the island of Lokrum by boat which was worth a visit. All in all a fantastic holiday. Take comfortable shoes as lots of walking.Guest review byEloiseUnited Kingdom - 8.0
I stayed in Zadar Old Town and enjoyed every minute.
I stayed in Zadar Old Town and enjoyed every minute. Lots of cultural attractions and the possibility for boat trips. Highly important for me as well, that as a lone female non-white traveller I always felt safe and comfortable walking around by myself even in the early hours of the morning.Guest review byKellyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Smaller yet compact old city center where you will find everything you need just in few steps. Big grocery store just next to the bus station, big outdoor market place, fish market, promedande, countless number of restaurants, public transport and several beaches. The only downside is that during the peak season it is really crowded.Guest review byEvaSlovakia - 6.0
Makarska is nice place to visit in June and September.
Makarska is nice place to visit in June and September. July and August is very hot and a lot off tourists on the beach, and on the streets. A lot of traffic, problem to find parking place. We only walk and stay overnight in Makarska center. Biokovo skywalk is fantasticGuest review bySlobodankaNorway - 6.0

Hvar centre is over priced and if you do not get recommendations where to eat you could end up paying a lot of money for poor quality meals. The island itself is beautiful and worth exploring on your on own. Jelsa would be a much better based than Hvar old town, where a glass of wine is half the price!Guest review byPhilG75United Kingdom - 10.0

Sibenik ending up being one of the surprise highlights of our trip! The Old Town is quaint and beautiful. It did not feel touristy and yet felt welcoming to tourists. There were plenty of restuarants with a variety of choices. We visited the end of June as the annual International Children's festival was winding up and the town was decorated with streamers with hanging flags of children's drawing--so charming! We loved that it was within a reasonable distance to Split and only 15-20 minutes to Krka National Park.Guest review byJenW13United States - 6.0
Vodice is a very crowded place.
Vodice is a very crowded place. The beach is long but not very wide, so there were many people, and sometimes you couldn’t even find a spot to put your towel. The city center is also not as beautiful as other Croatian cities, such as Poreč, Pula, Omiš, or Zadar. It doesn’t offer much to explore, but there are some nice places to see nearby, such as the islands of Prvić and Murter. We also liked the beach in Rovinj, which has many more facilities. On the beach in Vodice, there is also a nightclub that gets really loud, so it’s not the best option for a holiday with small children.Guest review byNatáliaSlovakia - 10.0
For me, this is simply the best place in Croatia.
For me, this is simply the best place in Croatia. It's smaller than, for example, Makarska, and lacks noisy clubs and loud nightlife, which I consider strong advantages. You can find everything you need: beautiful beaches, bars, snack stands, and upscale restaurants. Renting a sunbed or umbrella is easy, and exciting water sports equipment, such as water jets, is also available. Highly recommended.Guest review byKrzysztofPoland - 10.0
