When I visited Grand Park Hotel Rovinj, I was literally enchanted by the beauty of Istria and the inspiring atmosphere of Cap Aureo Signature Restaurant under the direction of Zelijko Lozancic and JJV, at Lurel & Berry Restaurant especially under the direction of Andreija Jelavic, and at Viva Eufemia Lobby Bar by Lovro Brozd. Always a smile and a kind word on the lips a young chambermaid from Asia. The mixture of breathtaking nature, cultural diversity and culinary delights makes Rovinj a true paradise of inspiration for me.

The breakfast is 10/10 and has everything that you want/need. The attention to details in every aspect is above the roof. Bathroom and the room are very spacious and has everything that you need, always clean. The terrace is enormous and we enjoyed it a lot. The beach we did not use since we were staying in April, but instead we walked around the hotel and city. Near the hotel there is park that has very nice paths and nature, very good for relaxing and filling your batteries. Staff is very helpful and nice and big kudos for the pet friendly environment, absolutely loved it!

I had the best time at Eden Hotel: it offers everything you could possibly expect and need. Absolutely loved the indoor and outdoor spaces, all the facilities (gorgeous gym, spa, beach, pool, restaurants…) and the staff super polite, friendly and welcoming. I’m really considering going back in the future.

Absolutely everything. This was one of the best hotels of our holiday. We were even upgraded. The free bikes was great and allowed us to go for a bike ride in the park. The use of the facilities at the Grand Hotel was great. We spent one afternoon relaxing by the pool.

    Hotel location is a 11/10. There is a boat going from the city to the island and back once per hour and is free of charge for the hotel guests. The hotel building and the gardens have history and you can see it as soon as you set foot on the island, everything is well maintained and is really beautiful. A lot of natural shade, a gravel beach which is not very usual for this part of Croatia, and the privacy of an small island make this hotel a true gem for guests wanting to relax as much as possible. Sunbeds and sunshades are free of charge for hotel guests. Except for the girl at the reception at the shore which was a bit moody when we arrived, everyone else was exceptionally friendly, from the cleaning stuff to receptionist, waiters to cooks.

    We were there for 4 nights so basically had 3 days to visit.

    We were there for 4 nights so basically had 3 days to visit. Free historical tour and craft tour are available and steps away from the studio. These walking tours give you an opportunity to visit the many alleyways of shops as well as give you the background of the culture and politics. Restaurants are numerous and food is good. Smoking is heavy on the outdoor dining so non-smokers must sit inside. Farmers market is a couple of blocks up the street along with the fish market. Bring a bag. A lot of things are paid in cash. Local wine is a hit and a miss. Golf carts are available to take you around for less than a taxi.

    I liked the chance to find a beach that suits you, wheather you like bigger rocks, sand, natural shade, more hidden parts... There are many options for short trips with children by car: Cape Kamenjak, Aquarium Pula, Dinopark Funtana, Safari Brioni, or just evening trip to beautiful Fažana. You can visit points, like Sv. Foška or old military forts along the coast.

    Rovinj is a wonderful town with beautiful, Italian style buildings and streets. It’s a fantastic feeling to walk around its streets early in the norning, when there few tourists out there. Mulini beach is a great place to enjoy the sea.

    Barbariga has many cheap and good open restaurants and pubs .... Barbariga and old Barbariga is a some kind of holiday resort for familys with children and many wild and also arranged beaches with many trees with natural shadow and arranged 2,5 wide path. You can reach everything around in 0,5 to 3 km distance by foot, bicycle or a car.

    This is my third trip to Croatia and previously I have been insure if I like Croatia , but Rovinj changed that. It is absolutely beautiful, the old town is amazing and has lovely streets to wander through on an evening. There are plenty of bars and restaurants you are spoilt for choice. Definitely will be going back.

    Barbariga is very small, peaceful and quiet.

    Barbariga is very small, peaceful and quiet. If you've never been, you should know this; there are only a couple of average restaurants and bars, a post office and a shop. No nightlife, fine dining or sightseeing, but the coast is untouched and very clean. It's best to visit with a car so you can drive around the region or to a supermarket.
