HungaryThis is a wonderful, brand new hotel just opposite Zadar on the island of Ugljan in a small harbor. The staff is extremely helpful and motivated - both early check-in and late check-out were arranged for free within minutes. The service was also great (the breakfast could have been a little more extensive). The room was also very comfortable, the windows and doors completely blocked out the loud noise of the party outside. There are several beaches in the area within a few hundred meters for children and adults (deep water). Within a few kilometers on the island we found several small bays where there are only a few people and you can snorkel very well. We will definitely come back.

United KingdomThe campsite is fab on this beautiful island. Remote but close to Ugljan village with plenty of places to eat, the campsite is quiet but has so much to explore. Great little natural pool, lovely bar and beach…wow! The water is stunning and you can hire SUPs and kayaks there for reasonable prices. We stayed in a 3 bed mobile home and it was great for our group of seven. The interior is well appointment, modern and clean and the veranda was perfect for dinner at night. They have a BBQ pit near the pool and washing facilities too. We will be back if we return to Croatia.

It's a small hotel with only ~20 rooms. Everything has been clean and the rooms are minimalistically decorated (nordic-style?). They provide soap and shower gel so bring conditioner if needed.The beds were excellent and we slept well with the quiet AC cooling the room. The staff has been very friendly and helpful during our visit. We can see that they struggle a bit with only 6(?) people managing the whole facility. They seem to cope well though! The peak of our stay was the food! The young chef Tilen prepared a fantastic 3-course food experience every evening. He isn't shy of experiment with ingridients, textures and flavors in a really tasteful and fun way. I would really recommend the halv board as there are few restaurant in the vincinity of the hotel and you would'nt want to miss out on good food we've had. The only thing we missed on the breakfirst buffet was some yoghurt. It's basic but good enough for us. During our stay (no car) we took hikes to nearby towns. The island is surprisingly green even during peak heat in the summer. Plan your luches as the restaurants are few and sparse in the west/north of the hotel.Guest review byHenrikSweden

There is a lovely beach bar just below the hotel on the way to swim, which is a relaxing place to hang out. Staff there are friendly and helpful. There are lots of places to sit in the shade whilst swimming in the water although it does get busy. It’s in a really lovely bay which the sun sets in and only a few minutes from the harbour. The hotel is a good choice for somewhere to stay. The beds are comfortable. The shower and air con work well and there is a mini fridge in the rooms. All rooms have balconies. Our rooms were clean and well presented. I think it is somehow the bed covers which makes people rate this hotel down. Vir is quite tourist-centric, which has its advantages and, unfortunately, its disadvantages. The island itself is beautiful, I like the hustle and bustle (although we were in Lozice, a little further north, in a quieter part) and there are quite a few restaurants to choose from. However, the shops in the area are like the domestic (Hungarian) department stores at Christmas, no matter what time of year we went shopping: full, the lines barricaded, a minimum of 10-15 minutes waiting at the cashiers. The beaches are nice, the ones we went to were clean, although unfortunately I saw quite a few people littering... There is also the possibility of a short excursion around the red rocks on the far side of the island, the view from there is amazing. The locals were nice, but the car traffic is quite chaotic - narrow streets, everyone is in a hurry, not many people know the stop sign, etc.Guest review byPéter - 10.0

Kali is a pleasant village on the island of Ugljan, where you will definitely not be bored. Immediately after our arrival, we attended a three-day fishing festival and a procession the next day, tried out a renowned fish restaurant, and got to know the locals. The island is not as crowded as the tourist cities on the mainland. The ferry port, Preko, has nice restaurants and shops. There is bus service although it seems more sparse since there are a lot of cars on the island. We used it several times to get to Preko. Uber is unreliable. Cabs are available but it can become expensive if you have to use them a lot. A lot of people use bikes to get around. Pasman island is a good choise for the one who loves sandy beaches, shallow water and calmness. It hasn't got big settlements, but has lovely little towns and villages, good look-out turrets, walking pathes in the nature. Green island with a good quality of soil. The benedictian monastery of Tkon is really authentic, you can find quietude there. As much as Luka is very Tourist dependent, it has a rich culture of locals who return for the summers. This makes it a very Croatian village with a ton of charm. Eat at the Konoba (really good food!) or at home (the village market has a reasonable selection and better prices than the nearest grocery store), swim anywhere, bring a book - the internet and cell coverage is spotty - and relax!Guest review byKalenGermany - 6.0

The island is nice, clean, the sea is too. There are not many archeological objectives to be visited like on other islands like Korcula, Brac or Hvar, but still there are interesting sites like the old monastery of St. Cosmas and Damian. There is not much to sea at night, unless you're visiting some of the bigger towns. There are Secluded beaches on the open sea side of the island and several small towns where you can have a strawl or eat a local dish. The fish market was lacking diversity and the prices are pretty high, at least for our standards. Final note the islands of Ugljan and Pasman are ok but I'd rather visit the other ones mentioned previously.Guest review byZarkoRomania - 6.0

Vir is a village-style resort with limited infrastructure. While there are several restaurants and cafés, the food offerings are quite repetitive—mostly chips, grilled meats, and common fish dishes, with little authentic Croatian cuisine. Most beaches are rocky, with Lanterna Beach being the only one with pleasant sandy areas in the sea. Preko is a very beautiful and magical place with its own, rather calm atmosphere. Suitable for relaxing by the sea, walking, sitting in cafes and restaurants. But it is also worth more active walks, exploring the island, the view from the castle of St. Michael on the surrounding islands, etc. The color of the water is incredible and clear.Guest review byJana
