Secluded quiet and in the midst of nature. Sounds of the river flowing below as you fall asleep. Room was spacious, modern and super clean. With room fairies visiting to clean and make beds whilst out for the day. But the real assets are hosts Gede and Komong who are so welcoming and generous. Nothing is a bother and they can accommodate your needs. Gede is an excellent guide and driver and can cater to all requests. Komong is an excellent cook and even did a one on one cooking session with me. As a solo traveller this was an experience was a perfect choice for me🙏

It's a very nice and quiet place with a great staff. The view from the room and the pool is incredible and it's great to be in the middle of nature and rice fields. The place consists of only 4 villas (very well equipped) which are right next to a rice field so it is very quiet and calm. At the same time it's very easy to move around with a scooter or driver and the staff will happily assist you (I strongly recommend swimming at Bayumala waterfalls). The restaurant is also very nice so we stayed around for most of our meals but if you want there is a town around the corner (not touristic at all) with some warungs and noodle places. Special thanks to the team that works there, very nice people.

I loved my stay at the traditionally decorated room. The staff is very friendly and supportive, and I prolonged twice. The breakfast is good and sufficient 😋 Mosquito net is great. The amenities in the bathroom smell wonderful. The location is super close to the main square/sunset point

The staff! Both Kadek and Putu are national treasures and are some of the most welcoming, interested, happy people we have met in Bali. They are beautiful people, and are responsible for running a very professional accommodation facility. They are quietly spoken, courteous and are fantastic ambassadors for wonderful country. There are only 4 rooms, but the villa has private yet communal feel to it. Breakfast was lovely and flexible to guests requests. We could not be happier with our stay here, and highly recommended.

Dino is like an old friend you haven't seen in years, whom you enjoy meeting again and sharing your lives. In addition to the human aspect, the place is incredible, a true little seaside oasis with a magnificent pool, and delicious warungs nearby (special mention to Warung Kadek Merry). The staff is lovely and attentive. Undoubtedly one of the best places in Bali to unwind, forget all our worries, and make beautiful connections.     Dynasty is a resort in the true sense of the word. We had a quiet, unique glamping experience. Uninterrupted views of the beach and volcanoes whilst nestled amongst impeccable lush gardens. Food was fresh and everything made on site. Very eco-friendly in overall philosophy, eg no plastic.. instead there were water chiller systems throughout the property. Staff went out of their way to care and were highly respectful. We took advantage of the on-site dive shop and went snorkeling; the best underwater experience I've had. My husband went diving and was gobsmacked by his experience with the staff and what he saw... the best dive he's ever done.

    The villa was large and clean, and the chosen art in the room was very nice and fitting the atmosphere of the villa. The private pool was large an very nice as well. It felt that you become part of the community of Permuteran and we were blessed to attend a farewell party that was organised to thank the 2 dozen of trainees for their efforts at Amertha. Amertha is right at the beach with snorkelling opportunities. We would love to come back next time

    This hotel is absolutely perfect! It is suited in a beautiful natural nature, the rooms are gorgeous and very spacious, pool area is also very beautiful. Other than that, this hotel does a lot for sustainability so that was a big plus for us. The sustainability tour was amazing! It is very quiet, calm and perfect for a slow relaxed holiday.

    Very quiet and untouched part of Bali.

    Very quiet and untouched part of Bali. Beautiful, long, near-secluded, coconut-tree-fringed beaches in Kaliasem, just ten minutes out of the main Lovina strip area. Local, traditional warungs on the beach. A world apart from Canggu, Kuta, Seminyak. It still retains the old Bali charm. Very, very laid back.

    The area around Munduk is very hilly so it is good to be prepared for this if doing a lot of walking. If you don’t have your own wheels, you are mostly reliant on local transport/drivers,to get to a number of attractions in the area. We enjoyed a visit to the Lakes and the Botanical Gardens which were very peaceful. Walking the 5 local waterfalls from Golden Valley was a highlight, which took us most of the day. Next time I would go on the canoes on Tamblingan Lake. It looked like fun.

    The area he’s like Bali 40 years ago. You are better off staying at a resort on the northern end of the beach, they are beautiful clean and with excellent food and staff, and away from the mosque. Eco Taste, Dimpil Beach Bar, Wrung Rama, The Sage excellent places to eat with cheap healthy fresh food. The Taman, Sari resort & Amertha Resort also have excellent food but more expensive.

    Nice relaxed rural/coastal Bali, great place to just wind it back and take time to slow down. Snorkeling, temple tours both great, hot springs are truely hot and well worth the visit (anytime of day or night), but I’ll mostly remember the friendly approachable people in the neighbourhood. Lovely people (great food)

    Located outside of Singaraja by about 10kms is "OMunity Bali". It is situated in the traditional highland village of Sudaji.. To get to this location you need to make your own transport arrangements to go there and especially leaving is harder as the local Grab App doesn't seem to reach to here. OMunity prepared food is delicious and creative but eating out elsewhere didn't have much choice esp if vegetarian. The ambience is relaxing, friendly and uncrowded. Walking around the neighborhood is pleasant, and there are short road trips with walks or treks to some of the most stunning scenic places in Bali.

    The lack of traffic, the water is clean and clear I I live in Cairns on The Great Barrier Reef and found some splendid fresh, alive and undamaged coral to the right of a place called Prana Veda. Friendly people, no one nagging you. I eat wherever the locals eat usually, get a scooter use map app and explore

    It is great to stay in the north of Bali! Getting around takes time and requires a private driver. Management & Staff was just Wonderful and made all our wishes come true.     Quiet and peaceful little town - reminded us of old Bali, when it was less busy and built-up. Plenty of restaurants and cafes without the hassle and noise of Legian, Seinyak etc. Not the most exciting place to shop, but great for peaceful walks along the beach. Very relaxed and laid-back atmosphere.

    For my money, Munduk and other areas of North Bali, are the places to visit if you are looking for an authentic Bali experience, lacking in over-crowdedness and offering simply what the South can no longer offer: unhurried, unobstructed and authentic natural beauty and kindness, the kind that was maybe present 40 years ago in the South, when I last visited. If you are into nature that is not over infrastructured, this might be your place too. Because it is remote, it will lack Grab and other conveniences but that is the price we pay for being early to a place. Let's hope it stays this way forever. I know the locals hope so too.

    It was quiet and peaceful, away from the busy southern parts of Bali. The downside is it takes 4 hours due to traffic leaving the south and slow moving traffic heading up into the mountains due to winding, narrow roads.
