We had a very relaxing time here. Margo and team really looked after us and ensured we had the perfect combination of relaxing and adventures. The hammock was perfect to spend a day reading and snorkling from, and we also enjoyed watching the goat roam around during the day. You can see the efforts they are making to restore and regenerate the coral, and this will only improve more as time goes on. As it is if you jump of the pier you can see clownish straight away, and if you snorkel further to the left approx 100m you will come across a pretty decent local reef which it is easy to spend a few hours a day swimming around. We hired a scooter from them and as I had never driven one before they kindly and patiently showed me how everything worked and took me for a little drive around first to build up confidence. 100% hope to return one day.

We have been traveling in Asia for just over 4 months and Ayu Hotel owned by Marco & Eryl is without question the best customer experience we have had to date. Staff are friendly and helpful. They are passionate about ensuring you have the best stay and go out of their way to make that a reality - a credit to you both, They overview the best places to visit eat etc , booked our snorkeling trip , motorbike and ferry tickets. Great breakfasts and even one to takeaway when we took the early ferry when we left. Eryl even gave us some of her homemade soaps. The Ayu has a great vibe and homely feel - nice setting and located within a short walk to the ferry and the town.. Loved Sunset beach great for a swim or chilling out especially at sunset - very vibrant on friday and Saturday and during the week you can have it to yourselves. We stayed 7 nights and highly recommend it.

New resort on the main island just out of the town and next to Ben’s jetty. Large modern luxurious rooms with all the 5 star amenities. The best fresh water pool in Karimun- truly international resort style 5 star restaurant with Asian, European and some chinese food. Beautiful dinner under the stars next to the lit up pool Absolutely quiet at night- no mosque nearby and the best is going for a 6am walk out on the jetty and catamaran. Narayana means A place to rest and it truly is They offer motorcycle and car rental, island snorkeling trips on their own fleet of boats, help with obtaining Express ship tickets, water sports and much more Check out their website

Happinezz hills hotel is perfect! I have travelled a lot and never got anything like this during my trips. The hotel is very beautifull and everything is really clean! The rooms are big and there is really clean bathroom with good shower (hot water coming and good pressure). The pool area is beautifull and clean and there is poolbar you can use. Hotels breakfast is good and they have also good restauraunt with ok prices. From the hotel you can organize everything you need on the island and even when you are just coming there. For us they organized our car ride from Semarang to Jepara, our speedboat tickets, snokling trip, scooters etc. and everything with a really good price that we felt was really cheap for us. I loved this place and would love to come back one day <3 Really good value for your money. The staff is super friendly <3 With scooters you can easily get where ever on the island from this hotel. And the Karimunjawa island is beatifull, especially the small beach near bobbys beach <3

Super friendly staff and helpful. Everything is clean and modern. Location is great, about 10 min bike ride out of the main town but worth it as your next to sunset beach, you can even watch the sunset which is a better view.

Thank you for the stay in Royal Ocean View. The view from the Pool and restaurant is perfect. We enjoyed a stay of 10 days. Very nice and helpful staff and big thanks for everybody! Rooms are clean, there is hot water. Quite quiet location in overall. You can rent a motorbike via hotel and it's mandatory due to the remote location.

I was supposed to stay only one night, but I ended up spending an entire week at this hotel. Tata makes delicious breakfasts in the morning. The hotel matches the photos and is perfect for relaxing peacefully. They are also very accommodating. The boat was full for my return, but luckily they found me a ticket and took me to the port. I can only recommend this place 😄

Very beautiful place with the loveliest staff! Laurent and Ethi were really welcoming, hospitable, flexible and helpful. Laurent offered a lot of information about the island and helped us out a lot. The bungalows are very beautiful, clean and modern, and from our window, we had a perfect view on the ocean. Mirabelle offers some really nice services, such as breakfast, laundry, massage, and scooter rental. Also, Laurent is very helpful to organize any activities you would like to do in Karimunjawa, such as snorkeling and hiking trips. The town centre is a 5-min scooter ride away. The place is a beautiful bungalow village on a paradise island, and the welcoming staff makes it perfect!

    Great Island, Very Beautiful.

Great Island, Very Beautiful. Nice and quiet, overall very clean (by Indonesian Island standards) and not overcrowded. Quite time consuming to get to which is why it's quiet. Also takes a bit of exploring on the island to find the best beaches and hidden away spots, which makes it even better! Good Diving and Snorkelling at the outer islands. Friendly locals and nice places to stay. If you have the time I would highly recommend a visit to this island, you won't be disappointed, but allow time to go exploring as the best parts of this island aren't in the main town! Also, you must go on a boat trip to the surrounding islands to truly appreciate the area.

It is an authentic Indonesian experience with some beautiful beaches and great snorkeling and island trips. It is just on the brink of exploding into a major tourism destination so check it out before it gets too busy. The opposite of Bali- still the real Indonesia and a National Park

There's not an awful lot to do, but that's the pleasure of the place, sadly you are charged to go on the beach- who owns the beach? not sure if this is legit. and sadly people leave their litter everywhere too.
