- From £82.30 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 727 reviewsVery warm rooms, welcoming and lovely staff, nice view of the sea from the dining hall. Breakfast table was nicely set for us (according to room number) and food made per customer request (one option - either full irish, eggs or porridge). There was an option to help yourself with hot tea and muffins late in the evening.Guest review byTauriEstonia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 62 reviewsAn absolute gem! Everything was newly renovated and spotlessly clean. Stunning views, free parking, and pet-friendly. The peaceful setting felt so private, with birdsong and a forest trail right next door that leads to a hidden beach. And Mary was absolutely wonderful—kind, helpful, and welcoming. Highly recommended!Guest review byGhidanacRomania
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 258 reviewsThe location was perfect, within easy reach of the town. The lodge had a beautiful view. It was a very good size, comfortable and had almost everything you needed. It was a bit tired but felt like home. I liked that we could use the fire and bring our own Christmas tree. Sheila is very helpful.Guest review bymariaUnited Kingdom

First Class - excellent staff throughout the Hotel - highly professional and friendly with it. Main dining room has to be experienced - attendance is an event in itself. Lovely food served in a timely way. Waiting staff are great to watch at work and they do what they do in a quiet but showy way. Lovely to sit in the hall and enjoy the two log fires and the comfy arm-chairs. A relaxing stay at a lovely hotel in a great location. Old fashioned but we like it that way - no squeaky floorboards - calm and quiet.Guest review byAlasdairUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The accommodation was second to none and we loved the Wild Atlantic Bar for food. Close to Glengarriff Dursey Beara and SheepsHead. Also hosts recommended Dunneen gardens and a swim in a local cove. All were exactly to suit us. The peacefulness of the gardens at Mossies and views were outstanding. Will definitely be back and have recommended it.Guest review byAnneIreland - 10.0

The village is small but the access to all the Beara peninsula has to offer is great. We visited Dursey via cable car and that was a wonderful experience. The Beara Necessities cafe had delicious food!Guest review bycolleenUnited States - 10.0

Silence, natural beauty, if you want to really get away and enjoy simplicity and nature, this is the place for you. Have to travel a few kilometres for restaurants and bars but this is a good thing, because it means you will rarely meet many cars or people.Guest review byLeonIreland - 8.0
A good location to explore Beara Penisula.
A good location to explore Beara Penisula. Close enough to Kenmare for shopping, but also close to some key attractions like Eyeries, gardens, Dursey or Bere island (all within 20 to 40min drive). Weather is predictable i.e. it will be drizzle during your stay there. When its nice, it is great, but that is not the case 8 of of 10 days. However driving a bit to the west, or to the south, where key attractions are anyway, usually clears the sky. Some roads are very very narrow, but there is not too much traffic way less then in ring of Kerry, Dingle or West Cork.Guest review byMarcinIreland - 10.0

Allihies is a lovely colourful little town with brightly coloured houses, a shop and pubs. The scenery is spectacular with a beach and stunning mountains where an old copper mine can be found. Great food in O’Neill’s pub and a smart coffee shop in the Copper mines museum.Guest review byHalinaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A beautiful village in its own right, Glengarriff is also central to several tours of the wider area. There are a couple of good pubs with music most nights in the summer as well as a couple of decent restaurants. The nature reserve in the woods is a fantastic place for a picnic. A great place for a family break.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The town is tiny and very colorful!
The town is tiny and very colorful! There was no much to do in the town itself (but maybe due to the covid), but it's nice to wander around the village anyway, some old traditional shops ect... there are great hikes around! ... I went down to the beach and i wish i could have camped there :) not sure about bathing as there are stones and seaweeds, but it's beautiful!Guest review byBARBARAIreland
