My stay at Robert and Mary's was phenomenal. They are some of the kindest people ever and really care about making sure you feel at home, no matter how long you're staying. I stayed by myself for a week with no car and would have been perfectly content to not leave the property at all. When I did leave, however, they let me use their own bikes and then provided me with the number of a very nice taxi driver when I needed to go further. Mary even offered to pick up groceries for me while she was in town! If you're looking for a place that feels like a home away from home, this is it. The beds are super comfortable and the daily breakfast is a great addition. My Shepard's Hut was one of the coziest spots ever, sometimes I didn't leave for hours. A nice quiet retreat, perfect for reading, relaxing, hiking, you name it. The town of Borris nearby is small and quaint, with some really good restaurants and pubs. The ambience of staying here while it rained (as it often does here) was unmatched and met my expectations for an ideal trip to Ireland. Would love to come back someday.

Well, this is the 3rd time that i have filled this in, so either the hotel doesn't care, or they dont read the feedback. I'm not going to re write everything, but in short, we were very disappointed with the noise levels particularly on the sat night , which came form 3 sources, and didn't until after 4 am

Fantastic solar lighting on the pitches was a real bonus, the ground was really level with no stones, so sleeping was very comfortable. Very laid back and the cleanliness was a very welcome change. The campsite was absolutely stunning on the edge of the river with a brook running through the middle - my idea of heaven.

Borris is a lovely old style village/town in South Carlow. Borris House and its surrounds give great character to the place. Plenty of scenic views in the area. The old railway viaduct trail at the bottom of the village is worth a visit.

    The area is beautiful!

The area is beautiful! We did not spend much time in surrounding towns - I chose the location based on it's proximity to Kilkenny and the type of accommodation. I had hoped to stay in a castle while in Ireland but that was not possible so this manor house was a nice substitue.

Definately recommend and will come back.

Definately recommend and will come back. We stayed in the smaller, oldest of cabins, which was reflected in the price. If coming back we would stay in the newer bigger cabins. Perfect for families and people who love fishing. A playground would have been a big bonus but apart from that. The views and facilities are great. Cabin was immaculate and beds were extremely comfortable

Olive is lovely...very friendly, kind and welcoming. We were attending a wedding in Leighlinbridge and she very generously gave us a lift to the hotel, so we could leave our car at the apartment. She also provided the essentials for breakfast. We plan to stay with her again in the autumn. Thanks a million, Olive

Carlow town is a hidden gem. Beautiful town artisan and public building architecture. Clean, bright public areas, wonderful recreational open spaces and a vibrant, pleasant night life with lovely eateries and pubs. We were on a working conference weekend and our stay was too short. We will visit again, next time for longer and for leisure to fully enjoy Carlow town and its surrounding areas.

It's quite an attractive looking place, tidy garden, stone house. However when I rang around local B&B's for somewhere for myself and my family to stay a very helpful lady suggested Brandon Hill Camping, Graiguenamanagh - about 15 mins north. Ken the campsite owner could not have been more helpful and hospitable and I would highly recommend his campsite to anyone who stays in the area. The town has some lovely pubs as well, with great food and live music. To be honest the person at St Mullins did us a favour and we had a very pleasant stay at Brandon Hill😁
