- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 161 reviewsThe woodlands is one of my favourite hotels. It caters for absolutely everyone. I loved the fire pits on the driveway in, it added a touch of class to the entrance. The petting farm is fabulous for the kids. The hotel itself is so warm and cosy with stunning decorations. Our room was amazing, so spacious and designed beautifully. The staff couldn’t do enough. Our meal was delicious. We absolutely loved the outdoor area, cabins with the stoves, Pizza , burger, coffee and icecream huts and finally the sports bar. Everything amazing.Guest review byTinaIreland

Not to forgot we usually eat at night and we didn't find anything open after 6pm, we had to use delivery apps to have some food and before we leave to our room the young lad at the bar gave us some dishes, forks and a good restaurant-like service (don't forget to drink some pints and tip them).Guest review byAndreMexico

Limerick is a lovely city with the river Shannon running through it. It is lovely to stroll by the river or sit on one of the many benches and have a coffee. There's lots of shops, bars, restaurants, museums and art galleries to visit and of course King John's Castle For fans of Frank McCourt's wonderful Angela's Ashes, it's lovely to visit and see where the young Frank grew upGuest review bygenny77Ireland - 10.0

Host was very kind, welcoming, had a lovely country feel all round, other than the bathroom which was modern, bed was very comfortable for my husband and I, breakfast was lovely you do have a choice of full Irish breakfast, or vegan, village is about 15 min walk down the road, but the walk is lovely with the view,Guest review byletteUnited Kingdom - 4.0
New Castle West is not very interesting...
New Castle West is not very interesting... We spent one night on our way to the Cliffs of Moher and in retrospect I wish we had driven further. The hotel is kinda old, the bathroom felt like an hospital bathroom. No mini bar or fridge in the room. Very spacious room with spare furniture - they had the room to add a cabinet with fridge... Breakfast was good tho.Guest review byPhilippeUnited States - 10.0

Croagh is a lovely small village and enhanced by the lodge garden centre and restaurant. great place to stop over for breakfast, snacks and drinks. Fantastic garden shop and garden centre. Incredible friendly and helpful staff (mainly family run). There are two wo pubs in village (no food). About 6 kilometers east,on N21 is the most amazing village of Adare. Its got everything, shops, bars , restaurants, and hotels, churches. its probable the pettiest village I have ever visited in this area.Guest review byPatsyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Very friendly people who gave us lots of information about walking and even dropped us carless women at the start of the walk in Ballyhoura and collected us without charging us anything. All the archeological sites and beautiful churches were a unexpected bonus.Guest review byToppenNetherlands - 8.0
It was quiet. No restaurant was a drawback.
It was quiet. No restaurant was a drawback. We went into Tarbert on recommendation of proprietor but The Swanky in Tarbert was nothing to write home about. The Knight's Walk nearby was worth doing.Guest review byMichaelIreland - 8.0

Clancy's pub and restaurant provided good range on menu for breakfast, lunch and supper. The pub contains display of owner's nephew's international referee neck ties in recognition of refereeing multiple international rugby matches including the first Rugby World Cup. Also rare framed signed copy by participants of the North of Ireland Good Friday Peace Agreement. Proprietor's father, Jack, is a mine of information about people and Bruff including the old RIC Barracks which had a cellar, now filled in but then had a tunnel to escape through if needed. The village itself is small but with picturesque surroundings and near to Lough Gur the important Archaeological site stretching back over 6,000 years with well presented Visitor CentreGuest review byNicholasIreland - 8.0

Tourists can't enter Adare Manor unless they stay overnights or dine at two different restaurants. We booked breakfasts and then walked around to enjoy the beautiful scenery and atmosphere inside. It was a fantastic morning in Adare.Guest review byShu Jyun HsuUnited Kingdom
