This is a happening place, with a large variety of restaurants, sightseeing and activities. Best to stay at a nice seafront hotel. Do not skimp on good accommodations. We were there for business, so our choice of hotel was not optimal. Next time, I'll stay at a tourist luxury hotel, even if I am not there as a tourist. A fascinating blend of cultures. This ancient city has incredible architecture going back centuries, beaches, amazing markets along with a huge number of things to see and do. It is expensive - we could not afford the top end restaurants and most of the exhibits charge entry. Drive out of the city for even more.... The accommodation is basic, kibbutz country lodging-style. The staff are very helpful.
