- From £218.45 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,229 reviewscozy accommodation in a top structure, ideally located. The hotel is very well equipped, with all sort of comfort at a very high level. Modern equipment in a design traditionally rooted, easy to use. Very clean, with a particular attention to details. Environmental policy is one of the priorities, well-done!! Really friendly and helpful personnel. The village and the harbor are pearls. Next to a charger for electric cars, few steps to the famous herring museum, the church and the bakery. Highly recommended hotel.Guest review byAnnaItaly

I saw some comments regarding the rooms. People don’t say what is a guesthouse or they do not have the habit to travel. The decoration is very beautiful in the hall. I do recommend this hotel. Please book a table in the restaurante. The best tajine EVER. Bonus the jacuzzi. Love it ! :)Guest review byGustavoFrance

I was travelling for business, but was very pleasantly surprised by Akureyri - a very nice town with good facilities, great resturants and bars, and everything within walking distance. There seemed to be a lot of things to do for tourists, but I was working so couldn't take advantage of them this time. Very picturesque location at the bottom of a Fjord, much nicer location than Rekjavik. It's a bit of a pain to get to from Rekjavik area (flight by small plane, or 5 hr drive) but well worth it once you're there.Guest review byDouglas - 10.0
We visited all the famous sites
We visited all the famous sites The Thermal baths was great. A big area (and currently expanding). The restaurant there was very reasonably priced for Iceland. They made a great coffee. Food was good. Went to the geothermal site which was pretty amazing. We hiked up Hverfjall, theextinct volcano which was interesting. Went to Dentifoss and Selfoss which were very impressive We enjoyed our stay. Well worth a visitGuest review byLawsonAustralia - 8.0

Whale watching was awesome! An absolute must do when visiting Husavik. Dining options are good, but you might want to stay at a place with cooking facilities to improve options and affordability Definitely check out the local museum. There wasn't a single thing wrong.
There wasn't a single thing wrong. From the place, to the location, the host, avaliable conveniences while being isolated to relax. The pool outside brings everything to an 11. Enjoying the warmth with the cold outside while gazing at the stars, just what the doctor ordered.Guest review byGenNetherlands - 10.0

We didn't have much time to spend here, however, just spending a couple of days at the hotel and walking around the area would be wonderful. It's a beautiful hotel and area to sit around and relax or soak in the hot tub admiring the amazing views. The museum and some restaurants were closed when I went in March. There is definitely more to do in the summer months.Guest review byMarieUnited States - 8.0
My stay at the guesthouse was a bit of a mixed bag.
My stay at the guesthouse was a bit of a mixed bag. On the positive side, the self-check-in process was a breeze, and I was pleasantly surprised by the level of cleanliness and the spaciousness of my room. The facilities, including the WiFi and kitchen, were top-notch, and I had no complaints on that front. However, there were a few quirks that left me feeling a bit unsure. The surrounding farm was somewhat peculiar, but I must admit that I'm not exactly an expert on farming, and I didn't book this place for its agricultural charm. The absence of any human interaction with the host was a tad disconcerting. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, and a friendly welcome or some local insights would have been appreciated. One noteworthy detail was the water quality, which had a distinct sulfur smell. While this might be normal for the area, it would have been helpful if the host had mentioned it beforehand. In summary, the guesthouse had fantastic facilities, but the lack of host interaction and the peculiar farm surroundings left me with mixed feelings. Plus, a heads-up about the unique water scent would have been a considerate touch. However, all in all, good to very good value for the money.Guest review byThomas - 10.0

In our opinion as a family with found Akureyri to be a more enjoyable city and atmosphere than Reykjavík. Has a very positive vibe and the whale watching was an experience of a lifetime. I would recommend at least two days probably three if you are doing a tour of Iceland. Potentially I would recommend flying here and driving clockwise on route one to Reykjavík.Guest review byXenstone
