- From £311.89 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,580 reviewsWe chose hotel Caparena for the nice gardens the exclusive beach and distance to Taormina, we had our enlopment nearby and the hotel Caparena was a great addition to the special event, the staff was super nice, friendly and professional, there was a special cleaning lady that i didnt get the name, but she did for us a love towel decoration with flowers as we explained we were tidying the room for additional memories and experience and she was super nice. Thanks for that. The breakfast was amazing, one of the best we had competing with Dominican Republic lavish choices for all tastes. The pool was nice, big and unexpectedly empty, maybe it was to hot, but we enjoyed it. The room we didn't felt it was ideal for families but it was good for us, definitely recommend for couples. Thank you for the stay, it will be part of our memories forever.Guest review byExploradorPedroPortugal
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 500 reviewsAbsolutely loved our stay! The room had a bath tube with was a huge plus. The views from the room were stunning! The bed was very large and comfortable. Great noise isolation, didn't hear our neighbours at all. They didn't have the parking on premises, but just a few steps away there is a huge secured public parking (costs around 15 Euros per day, but it's super convenient as the parking in Taormina is complicated). The location is fantastic as well, just a few steps away from the main street. The staff was helpful with luggages. The room had slippers, bath robes, and everything we needed. And did I mention the views? Amazing experience.Guest review byKristinaLithuania

Taormina, perched on the cliffs of Sicily’s eastern coast,...
Taormina, perched on the cliffs of Sicily’s eastern coast, is one of Italy’s most enchanting destinations. Here’s what makes it so great: Breathtaking Views Taormina offers spectacular views of Mount Etna (Europe’s most active volcano), the Ionian Sea, and nearby Isola Bella — a picturesque little island connected by a narrow beach strip. Ancient Greek Theatre The Teatro Antico di Taormina is a remarkably well-preserved Greek-Roman amphitheatre. It’s still used today for concerts and performances, with Mount Etna as a dramatic backdrop. Rich History Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Arab, and Norman influences are all present. You’ll find a unique blend of architecture, ruins, and medieval charm throughout the town. Romantic Atmosphere Taormina’s narrow, flower-lined streets, boutique hotels, and scenic terraces make it ideal for couples, artists, or anyone looking for a peaceful, beautiful escape. Sicilian Food & Wine Enjoy local dishes like arancini, caponata, and granita. The area is also known for its fantastic wines, especially Etna Rosso, thanks to the fertile volcanic soil. Beaches Taormina has gorgeous beaches like Mazzarò and Isola Bella. With clear turquoise water and good snorkeling, they’re perfect for relaxing or swimming. Stylish Shopping Corso Umberto, the main street, is packed with designer boutiques, local artisan shops, charming cafés, and gelaterias. Strategic Location Taormina is a great base for day trips to Mount Etna, Catania, Syracuse, or even the Aeolian Islands — offering a mix of adventure and relaxation.Guest review byPetterlin - 8.0

Giardini-Naxos and the surrounding towns are, however, unusually dirty, with a lot of litter scattered along the streets. The beach, on the other hand, has wonderfully clean and clear water. People are helpful. Traveling around, take time. The only rush is in traffic. If you travel by rental car, it helps to have a good map reader in the passenger seat and a calm mind. Honking is simply a part of the traffic culture. A motorcyclist may pass you on either the right or the left. Focus on the traffic is the most important thing. When choosing a rental car, you should go for one with medium power. Otherwise, it may not make it up the hills. We had a Toyota Yaris 1500 Petrol Hybrid Automatic. It was ok. An automatic gearbox makes driving easier.Guest review byMarikaEstonia - 10.0

Letojanni is a charming coastal village located in Sicily, Italy, known for its stunning beaches and picturesque views of the Mediterranean Sea. My recent visit to Letojanni was nothing short of magical, offering a perfect blend of relaxation, culture, and culinary delights. Letojanni’s location, just a short distance from Taormina, makes it an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area. Additionally, the locals were incredibly friendly and welcoming, providing a warm atmosphere that made me feel at home. The village's small size allows for leisurely strolls through charming streets filled with local shops and boutiques, perfect for picking up souvenirs.Guest review byEstherUnited Kingdom - 8.0

A down-to-earth beach town with none of the glitz and glitter of Taormina. Nice enough beaches, crystal clear water and a few beach bars where you can eat. Perfect stay away from busy Taormina, with hourly bus-service. Ristorante Arco Rosso was our favourite restaurant.Guest review byTommyintheNorthNorway - 8.0
The location is truly beautiful but remotie.
The location is truly beautiful but remotie. There is a good bus service to Taormina but not so great in the opposite direction for evening meals etc. We caught a bus there (only 2 stops, not even 5 minutes) & a taxi back cost 20 Euro. There is no pavement on the road to the hotel & whilst we did take a walk out it was walking down the side of the road & you needed to be very aware of the traffic.Guest review byGemma - 10.0

Taormina is a fabulous city perched on a high cliff, with fantastic sights, nightlife, restaurants and shopping. There are good transport options with buses and trains from the Airport and to all other destinations on the island. walking around the town there are lots of level streets but also lots of slopes and high steps. We ate in many of the restaurants and would recommend Al Gardino which is located a few mins walk from our hotel. The Food in all the restaurants was delicious with each having a different pasta, fish and meats options. We walked through Parco Florence Trevelyan each evening and that is a must see either during the day or evening. The beach did not impress as they were jammed with beds which cost €30 each! rip off....Guest review byMichelleIreland - 10.0
Giardini Naxos is a bus ride away from Taormina.
Giardini Naxos is a bus ride away from Taormina. We enjoyed this quiet town, the restaurants were good, especially Trattoria da Lino. The beaches are stunning, even though they mostly have little stones, the water was clean and refreshing!Guest review byGillianGermany - 10.0
We really enjoyed our stay in Letojanni.
We really enjoyed our stay in Letojanni. It is on the main railway line up and down the east coast with good bus connections too. Letojanni has an extensive, uncrowded and mostly sandy beach with many cafe's and eating places along the front, generally at very reasonable prices. Taormina is only a few minutes away on the bus which is definitely worth visiting, but, in contrast, it is very expensive and very busy compared with Letojanni. Letojanni is, therefore, great for a relaxing stay, but also, it has good connections to get to other places in eastern Sicily. Definitely recommended.Guest review byRayUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We were in the area of Taormina for three days and could have used more time- because there are so many other places to visit as side trips as well. Lovely town - crowded in the evenings but we still were able to find availability at good restaurants. Besides the high end shopping there were some lovely boutiques as well. Wonderful bakeries and cafes. Cable car down to the beach. Many hotels have walking paths to town , but may have to walk in road a bit for some of them.Guest review bySarah
