An absolutely beautiful hotel, just across the road from an idyllic private beach with excellent facilities, white sand and crystal clear water. The hotel was very tastefully decorated, with some lovely design touches and was immaculately clean throughout. Our room was very pleasant, having a balcony with a beach view. The grounds and pool were to the same high standard. Breakfast was plentiful, with everything you could want, including a choice of different cakes and the restaurant staff were pleasant and attentive. We were there in June and it was peaceful and quiet. We had the beach almost to ourselves! What luxury! Unfortunately we only stayed two nights, but I didn’t want to leave!

Vieste is really interesting and pretty old town and the people are friendly. Good standard of restaurants and not overpriced. There's a port where we hired a boat or you can get a boat trip. Some parts are very steep but worth walking up for the views. We stayed on the beach, a 25 min walk in along the beach but worth it or there's a bus for 2 euros p.p Would definitely recommend it :)

Visiting San Giovanni Rotondo was a truly meaningful and peaceful experience. As the home of Padre Pio, it’s a special place for spiritual reflection and prayer. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, and the sanctuary is beautifully maintained. The town is small but full of heart, with kind locals, good food, and everything within walking distance. It’s perfect for those seeking a quiet retreat or pilgrimage. Highly recommended for anyone looking to connect spiritually or enjoy a slower pace in a beautiful, serene setting.

Beautiful sandy, well-maintained, equipped, clean beach. Amazing views of the white city on the rock. Warm, clean sea and a well-lit pier for evening walks. Historical old church-fortress, sounds of bell calling for mass. Wonderful small restaurants and taverns with fresh fish, octopus, cuttlefish, shellfish, just caught. Great Italian food. Excellent value for money for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

The town has a few bars and restaurants enough for a week- 10 days though if you go down to the beach there are lots more there, but it’s a drive from the town it’s too far to walk. Loved the live music in the town on some nights, the restaurants get busy and some needed booking.

Rodi is a charming village with nice beaches, beautiful little port, loads of great restaurants. Accessibility is not so great given it is 2 to 4 hours from the airports (Pescara 2hr and astronomical prices, Bari 2h30, Naples 3h30, Rome 4hr). Evening walks in the old village are wonderful, loads of life and great food.

It's a very local place, something where no tour guide would direct you. We had a really good pizza on the beach during sunset. Technically it was the beach restaurant so during the day it's packed with families, kids, teenagers... but during the evening it was quite cool, super good food, lovely staff, and incredible view of the empty beach and sunset with Tremiti islands in sight. The 'city' also has plenty of street food places and small grocery shops and local fruit and vegetable vendors where you can buy great stuff like taralli, provolone or 'muscisc'. We also spent a day on a wild sandy and windy beach with not too many people in sight so I am definitely planning our next stay while we descend to the very end of Puglia.

The village is unfortunately in a state of total disrepair, it is badly maintained and very dirty. In the historical centre, many old houses are uninhabited and falling apart. Some attempts at improvement can be seen here and there, but much remains to be done. The kindness and helpfulness of the inhabitants compensate for the bad impression left by the places.
