The owners are a lovely family, and exceptionally friendly and helpful. For example, we arrived late on our first night (flight delayed), and Mrs Orsini (I assume that's her name) called a restaurant for us, that she correctly guessed would still be open and willing to serve us even at 11pm. She showed it to us on the map, gave us the map, we went there and had a lovely dinner. On another night, she recommended a different restaurant, just for variety, where we had a superb meal. The room was comfortable, quiet, with a nice terrace giving onto the street (views of trees opposite and hills in the distance), with a very wide bed. The breakfasts were good too, with good coffee and home-made cakes as well as the more usual things like croissants, or scrambled eggs made to order.

I only write reviews for exceptional places. This hotel exceeded every hope and expectation. The food was the better than the Michelin star restaurants we dined at this trip. Super cozy property held by a very nice family. Location is in the center of Sulmona, very close to Confetti stores and restaurants. The tennants were extremely nice to us and gave us great advice on where to get confetti and where to eat. Definitely recommend it!

The room was spacious and comfortable and the toiletries provided every day was not only useful, but very well selected and rich in feel. There was a splendidly broad selection for breakfast, and dinner was very lovely. As a non meat eater, the staff really went out of their way to make sure I was okay. It was also very kind of the staff to print out an English translation of the menu. The staff were extremely, friendly, helpful and efficient. We really could not have asked for more. The location is great, right on the edge of the piste. We'd have no hesitation in returning.

Excellent breakfast options! Cafe was wonderful! The property was stunning and the location breathtaking. Our expectations were surpassed in every way. The owners were welcoming and made us feel like family. The evening meal was wonderful. If you want to experience the 'real Italy' a stay at Borgo San Martino is highly recommended!!! The staff are great! The restaurant is wonderful they use local ingredients with attention to detail. Options for meat eaters as well at vegetarian. This is a boutique resort and is a lovely quiet oasis. The spa is extra but well worth it if you order the finger food lunch it will easily feed two! I hope to return here one day. It was very special.

The town is beautiful and green with trees lining the street. It is quiet in town after the Terme was shut down. If you are a hiker though, you landed in paradise. Gorgeous hikes in the Orfento Gorge and surrounding mountains. Also plenty of interesting and beautiful hermitages to explore. The sea is also not far away if the beach is calling. there is at least one good Bar/Coffee shop with fresh croissants and good cappuccino. Also a couple of good restaurants.

It's such a nice little place with nice bar and shops in the neighbourhood, beautiful churches and view on the mountains. It's a very strategic place because you can reach all the places to visit in less than an hour (the mountains of Gran Sasso and the Maiella, the sea, beautiful towns like Sulmona, L'Aquila, Chieti and all the little places in the mountains during hiking (Caramanico Terme, Passo San Leonardo, Roccacaramanico, Pescocostanzo, Palena, Casoli in the Maiella and Bussi, Capestrano, Bominaco and Rocca Calascio). And everywhere we found nice bars and exceptional good food in the local restaurants.

I was with cousins trying to locate the birth place of my grandfather, who was born in Guardiagrele in 1878. We found his birthplace and the church he was baptized in; the person at the town hall was very helpful to us. The town itself is delightful! The people were very friendly and the restaurants were all great. I recommend comfortable walking shoes, as the streets are cobble stones and all hills.

As we were at the very top of the village, we decided to drive to a car park level with the old village, which was free, opposite a park. The village itself was beautiful, with many churches to visit that were well cared for. There were quite a few bars and restaurants, but as we were out of season (end June) not many were open, but that did mean the village was quieter, which we prefer. If travelling at this time of year, probably best not to rely on eating out, but self-catering, as we did.
