- From £73.55 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 123 reviewsThe owners were so helpful kind and friendly. There is a small restaurant onsite and the food is out of this world! The owner makes his own wine which was excellent and we made sure to buy some to take away with us. The area around the agriturismo is beautiful and we decided to go white water rafting in Laino Borgo which was definitely worth it- rafting through the canyon was an amazing experience. Our room was cool and we slept very well. Breakfast was also very very good- omelettes, salami, cheese, yoghurt and at least 5 kinds of homemade cake! All in all wonderful and thank you!!Guest review byNicolaUnited Kingdom
- From £66.71 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 265 reviewsThe hotel was a hidden gem for us. Starting from beginning of our stay everything went perfectly smooth, staff was extremely helpful and arranged us an early check in without prior notice. Staff proposed to make make a dinner reservation for us at another hotel close by as they had a wedding event that evening. Room was clean, spacious and well equiped, the yard and pool were excellent. Even though at first glance the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, it is actually less than a hours drive to some of the nicest beaches in Calabria, e.g. Arcomango beach. Breakfast was great.Guest review byAndriusLithuania
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 176 reviewsThis place was a highlight on our ride of Cyclovia Parchi Calabria. 5km out of Morano Calabro, this agriturismo had great rooms and nice facilities. We arrived around 3pm from our ride and had a home cooked lunch. Possibly the best meal we have eaten in a month in Italy! Lovely staff and great locally produced products and meals. Loved it!Guest review byMichaelAustralia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 47 reviewsA very beautiful house and property. Nicola and Rita were extremely warm and kind. The breakfast was delicious, the best I have had during my visit to Italy. Fresh figs and orange juice from their farm, eggs and salami, bruschetta and cake. I really enjoyed my stay and wish I could have stayed longer!Guest review byVictoriaUnited States

Morano Calabro is a gorgeous old town. Very pittoresque.
Morano Calabro is a gorgeous old town. Very pittoresque. The pretty pictures found on the internet cannot capture the real beauty of this place and its authentic and relaxed atmosphere. The people are also very friendly. Unless you like touristy places, this unspoiled place represents Italy at its best. The area is very mountainous and a hiker's paradise. Restaurants serve excellent food and at a very low price.Guest review byHannoUnited States - 10.0
A beautiful place nestled among the mountains.
A beautiful place nestled among the mountains. We went on a breathtaking 15km hike and white water rafting in the Pollino National Park. We would recommend both. There are way more options for food than we expected, however there are not many English speaking people/staff around but we managed! The weather was much cooler there than other places in Southern Italy in Summer, particularly in the National Park.Guest review byAnonymous - 4.0
Rotonda would have been a far better base for hiking.
Rotonda would have been a far better base for hiking. We wanted to be in nature in an antico borgo but nothing in Viggianello seemed to be open other than 1 x tiny bar, the pharmacy and 1 x local shop. Rotonda is very attractive indeed and extremely friendly - we spent all of our non-hiking time in this locale. There are even 2 x museums.Guest review byDanielleUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A last minute decision to stop a night here had us not wanting to leave, mainly because of the beautiful accommodation, food and people. We made the most of our short time here and walked down to the historic bridge ( devils bridge) amazing scenery and it was very peacful only us on the road and tracks. The town had a selection of restaurtants and we found a lovely spot to enjoy a beautiful meal and a fabulous bottle of wine. We wished we had more time to stay in Civiita however we had connections to make so moved on. I highly recommend visiting and staying at least 2 or 3 days and if you have a car exploring the area.Guest review byAnnieNew Zealand - 10.0

The diffuso concept is atypical so be ready for the room, breakfast, check-in, gym to all be in different places in the city. Each of these areas we used was wonderful, But our room was a bit of a walk from the check-in area. It happened to be that the walk was worth the location of our room. The room was large and clean and we had full control of heat and air. Everything very, very comfortable and clean and new.Guest review byTimothyUnited States - 8.0

We didn't see much to be honest - the town is an hour from Pompeii - so a great stop after being or going to this famous historic archaeological site. Well worth a relaxing morning or afternoon walk. there are a few exciting things to do but we were en-route. However, the very narrow roads are exciting in themselves!Guest review byRogerUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We strongly recommend Morano Calabro to any travelers who enjoy the ambiance of old village communities. The old Town in Morano Calabro is alive with friendly residents, little shops, local butcher, hair salons etc. We fell in love with the place. You can take the narrow twisty road to the Castello on the top of the hill but we enjoyed the walk. Enjoyed a 5 star lunch at restaurant L'Antico Borgo.Guest review byDerrickSouth Africa - 10.0

Castrovillari is central to exploring the Parco Nationale di Pollino, and is also close enough to make side trips down into the "toe of the boot" and see places like Tropea, Reggio Calabria, Cosenza, and Crotone.Guest review byPaulUnited States - 8.0

Morano Calabro is a very simple mountain village with steep roads and stairways leading to the Norman Castle at the top of the hill. The surrounding environment is spectacular especially the Pollino National Park. The church and abbey of San Bernadino is highly recommended.Guest review byalanwilliamrandellItaly
