- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 444 reviewsA dream. I didn't know having a pool on an island would be such a good idea, but being able to just walk from you room in your swimsuit felt luxurious. The breakfast was great, with homemade cakes and cookies (the smell when they were prepared in the afteroon was amazing too). The view is also amazing, if you wake up early enough you can see the sunrise over the sea. Last but lot least, the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly... not in the fake-smile way servers around the word get pushed to use, but a with down-to-earth approach to thing that comes from being genuinely nice people.Guest review byElenaItaly
- From £97.47 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 144 reviewsThis is a fantastic hotel, with incredible views over the Med and Mount Etna in the distance. Everything was beautiful: immaculate rooms, open balconies, the light, surroundings, village of Leni, nature and the hospitality was amazing. Truly recommended, we'd like to come back. Easy central location to travel around Salina using public transport.Guest review byVeraUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 48 reviewsSo many little details were well thought out, things that made our stay special included the personalised service from when we arrived, the care that staff took to make sure we were comfortable, to the exceptional dinner and breakfast. It really was one of the best places we stayed in while we were on our holiday. Thank youGuest review byDonnaAustralia
- From £155.95 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 196 reviewsStunning view, beautiful bedroom and great breakfast. Salina is like heaven on earth. We came from Taormina which is over populated and oppressive. Malfa was such a contrast. The restaurants are great in Malfa. I think a Alera has the best views around. The staff were super nice. I loved it all!!!Guest review byDaireIreland

Charming and laidback- a great place to relax and chill. Enjoyed impromptu wine tasting at Fenech, and appreciated being shown around the island in an Ape calessino ( 3 wheeled motorbike) ecotour - highly recommended!Guest review byMaryAustralia - 10.0

Great little village with lots of delicious restaurants ad shops and galleries. Lots of fruit trees and a really cute beach (Spiaggia dello Scario). The village has a small supermarket, and has very good access to the rest of the island via the bus system, or by hiring a car or scooter at the various hire companies in the village.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Rinella in June was very quiet with not many restaurants to...
Rinella in June was very quiet with not many restaurants to choose from. There was one clothes shop, one grocery shop and one tabbachi. If you don’t have a car, ferry, taxi or Citi bus is the only way to get about - or hiking of course. The bus I think is cheapest but we didn’t use it because we were mostly island hopping. 10 minute ride on ferry to Santa Marina Salina seemed expensive for the trip but I think it gets more expensive at certain popular times of the day. This is a quieter, more remote place to do the hopping (with the extra 10 min journey always tagged on the end from Santa Marina) so if you want a little bit more buzz choose one of the other islands or Santa Marina. Personally, we liked the vibe on Vulcano and loved Stromboli. (Stromboli is probably not the best base for island hopping though as it is the furthest one away). Lipari is big and bustling and didn’t feel like island-life but if you like that sort of thing, it’s a great base. On the whole we enjoyed our choice of base at Rinella. It was a good ‘getaway from it all’ place, where we were forced to do extremely little- when not venturing.Guest review byLorraineUnited Kingdom - 4.0
My review of Lingua has nothing to do with the Hotel Borgo...
My review of Lingua has nothing to do with the Hotel Borgo di Mare where we stayed. It is strictly limited to the sea front part of the village where restaurant and various shops are located. Although we came in the second part of June, the summer vacation season had barely started with most of the restaurant not yet fully ready, offering partial services, like no pizza even if already on the menu. We had to manage our expectations on a case-by-case basis. But altogether we found the offering at the time very basic (range of choices), poorly executed and pricy (meaning high season prices)Guest review byFrancoisPortugal - 10.0
Salina is one of the most beautiful Aeolian Islands.
Salina is one of the most beautiful Aeolian Islands. It is well reputed for Malvasia wine and capers. The scenery is fantastic and the island offers good possibilities for a nice holiday. There are good walking opportunities, a reliable bus service, great cafes and restaurants and some nice shops.Guest review byBirgit SchunkeGermany - 10.0
We could have stayed in Malfa for at least a month!
We could have stayed in Malfa for at least a month! It was a quiet, peaceful town, with a small main street with a handful of shops, and maybe three restaurants, and more of a takeout cafe. We had excellent, leisurely meals at two of the restaurants, and really enjoyed the staff at both. We walked down to the beach one day, and loved it, but it was otherwise a lazy few days in a spectacularly beautiful place with very pleasant people. Malfa is a treasure!Guest review byShelbyUnited States - 10.0

It’s simply wonderful - just the right balance of leisure, shops, restaurants, not too overcrowded (early September) so strolling around is very pleasant. Lots of trips and activities, friendly people. This is my second visit and I would highly recommend itGuest review byGailItaly
