The location, the facilities and above all the service
Pantelleria, Ustica, the Aeolian Islands, the Egadi Islands and Lampedusa are a must-see and feature plenty of local restaurants and beautiful beaches.
This is my second time at this resort. It is so peaceful, surrounded by trees. Beach is amazingly beautiful. Pools- you are spoilt for choice.
The animation team is great!!!We had a soft spot for Tommaso, he was so humble and kind and funny ...but truly all of them were great 😁
The staff at the pool bar were always gentle and professional too.
Perfect place if you want to relax, especially with kids. Kids clubs are amazing, however kids need to know Italian, as most of the team are Italian speaking only.
The people who worked there were so friendly, welcoming and kind.The food was excellent with a fabulous variety and it was really fresh.The animation team were unbelievable and really made our stay so memorable .The views were spectacular. All we could see were mountains and tge sea.❤️

Our stay at Hotel Kalura was amazing, very thing was beautiful, our room had a wonderful ocean view, it was really relaxing at this hotel. Our stay was too short. The lovely breakfast every morning on that balcony with the ocean view was so lovely. I would definitely stay there again.

However, that is also part of the charm of the place. Everything feels incredibly authentic; the people are kind, caring, and spontaneous, embracing the wave of tourists curious about what the city has to offer.
In general, I found many individuals to be open-hearted and genuinely interested in showcasing the best of Sicily. The beauty of Palermo lies in finding a cozy corner, enjoying a nice coffee, gelato, beer, or limoncello spritz, and simply soaking in the ambiance. It's a wonderful opportunity to observe how simple and beautiful life is in Palermo.

Like many other places in Sicily Catania is an enigma!
It has lots of history, great buildings, squares and pocket gardens - all worth a visit. The botanic garden is a delight! Plenty of shops and of course places to eat.
The enigma is that the charm is often lost in the ruggedness of the place! Nevertheless, amongst the traffic and busyness of the city, charm can be found and thus it can be said Catania is a really fascinating place. We enjoyed Catania in the morning (coffee and granita) but the best time is after 9pm when the place is buzzing with people out having meals.

Perfect for strolling through the streets, shopping, eating, drinking, soaking up the atmosphere and people watching
There isn't a beach as such on Ortigia-mostly stone areas or areas with platforms. Best bet the beach club Zefiro Solurium. Which is next to the most beach like beach. And whilst it is miniscule, dipping in the sea is nice. And steps from the beach club
Moon in Ortigia is a plant based restaurant and cocktail place. Amazing!
In Siracusa itself a visit to the archaeological Park is a must. Very interesting

We were there in the height of season (mid August) and the beach was chokka. Very grateful we had a hire car and could head east along the coast to quieter options; 30 mins to the pebble beach of Costa Turchina beach.

I love both beaches and lively city centers at the same time and Trapani can offer that. A perfect cable car trip directly from Trapani to historic Erice. A beautiful sunset and a view of the illuminated Trapani.
Interesting places in the vicinity: Segesta and Selinunte archeological parks, the very unusual Nuova Gibellina (plus Cretto di Buri) and bustling Palermo with majestic monuments.
There are plenty of great restaurants in Trapani. I can't miss the Meno Tredici gelateria in the harbor and the great arancini at Al Pollero da Roberto.

Indications for people who driving there are poor, I was lost, I pass in front the entrance without realizing it, poor indicators. I stop and I find another car lost too. The car parking too expensive, the entrance tickets expensive, I went really early before there were too many people, I was able to take selfies for the more important monuments without any wait line. You must be ready with plenty of water, if you are going in summer time because its a really long walk under very strong summer lights. I guess you must see it at least once on your life, like everything relevant from our pass times. Obviously I am a simply tourist without knowledge about architecture. For those that understand I am sure must be fascinating.

Beautiful town, full of life at night. Easily walkable, flat streets. Beach is nice and long, with multiple free areas. It's a gorgeous scene with the huge mountains, and lighthouse at the other end. It is definitely more of a touristy feel, as we went in August. Definitely explore up and down the peninsula, as there's excellent beaches and coves to swim at as well!

Giardini-Naxos and the surrounding towns are, however, unusually dirty, with a lot of litter scattered along the streets.
The beach, on the other hand, has wonderfully clean and clear water. People are helpful.
Traveling around, take time. The only rush is in traffic. If you travel by rental car, it helps to have a good map reader in the passenger seat and a calm mind. Honking is simply a part of the traffic culture. A motorcyclist may pass you on either the right or the left. Focus on the traffic is the most important thing.
When choosing a rental car, you should go for one with medium power. Otherwise, it may not make it up the hills. We had a Toyota Yaris 1500 Petrol Hybrid Automatic. It was ok. An automatic gearbox makes driving easier.
