- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 438 reviewsThe accommodation looked even better live than on pictures. Very beautiful, tranquil ambiance. Birds chirping sounds everywhere surrounded by nature. The property is generous and incredibly well kept. Everything was kept in a great state, whether interior wise or the garden areas. With the small playground area it also seems perfect for kids and children. There is a small chapel (or church?) on the property! Idyllic. The pool looked nice, we didn’t use it since we arrived during a chilly time. The breakfast is rather more Italian style oriented: several home baked goods (cakes and muffins), a bit of baguette, a bit of cheese and ham/ prosciutto, cooked eggs, an onion/ tomato salad, some fruits, fresh juices and some yoghurt as far as I remember - accompanied by perfect Italian coffee. This suited our personal taste. The wine tasting included 3 wines (2 red 1 white) which are produced in their own local winery. We were chatting with the sommelier during the tasting, it was very nice. The staff was helpful and kind. The rooms were clean, warm and cozy. Definitely very nice interior, some of the nicest I‘ve seen in Italy and I visited more than half the Country. Also, many seating accommodations outside, both on the common balcony as well as on the ground level, where the reception is. Common area inside serves as a common living room, there is a coffee machine at the entrance for guest usage which makes espresso. Loved the experience. Might return for a family stay. Still very romantic for a partner stay. We were very smitten with our brief stay here.Guest review byJessicaGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 170 reviewsThe stand out feature were the staff - every single one was friendly, helpful and always happy with a “can do” attitude. The best team that we have been with over many years of travel worldwide. The restaurant was good and everything - all dietary requirements - was, with no exception, too much trouble. Three outside pools and plenty of places for groups to sit out and also for a more quiet relax away from others. Some manageable walks out of the hotel which is set in beautiful Tuscan countryside. Our suite was excellent and the whole property was unique: a village unlike any we have encountered before. It is a Retreat more than Resort and a car is necessary to travel more widely or a very easily organised and reliable taxi through the hotel. Siena is within easy striking distance by car or taxi.Guest review byProfessor Thomas R CoxUnited Kingdom

Beautiful views from the pool and restaurant. Good food in the restaurant - especially meat! Very friendly and helpful staff. Outside cinema was a nice touch. We also booked wine tasting which was great value for the money. Many sun beds near the pool and nice natural shades (trees). Breakfast was delicious and had many varieties. We stayed over for a nearby wedding and wished that we'd been able to spend more time here since we would have like to have enjoyed more the food, wine and olive oil that was on offer. Much to be recommended :o)Guest review byJimSwitzerland

The utensils and cutlery provided were sparkling new. kids loved the ambiance. however, the parking spaces were very poorly organized. very tight spaces between each parking and there was no one to attend to the parking as well. if we needed to raise a concern we would have to walk all the way to the reception (quite a distance) to inform for eg. if someone had parked in your spot. (i did see this happen to another family). a telephone line where we could reach the reception in each bungalow/chalet/tent would have made a differenceGuest review byDeorn Dsouza - 10.0

Amazing property - exceeds expectations in every way. The staff, the scenery, the luxe and comfy room decor, the lovely upgrade, and all the wonderful wine and food on property and in nearby Montefioralle and Greve. SO worth the trip. I have been to Tuscany more times than I can count.
I have been to Tuscany more times than I can count. This is my first time stopping in and staying in Colle di Val d'Elsa. The location is very close to all the major sites in Tuscany. Volterra and San Gimignano are extremely closeby as well as Chianti. There is a charm to the old town area of Colle di Val d'Elsa, not a ton of tourists like the other sites in the area.Guest review byD. CaronanItaly - 8.0

The apartement was even nicer than pictures. There was oil and a bit of vinegar as well as salt and pepper. It would have been nice to have a few more amenities. The pool looked really nice but we did not have time to take advantage of it. Check in was easy even though we arrived very late at night. Same for the check out.Guest review byPatriciaCanada - 10.0

Radda in Chianti is a charming small village nestled in the heart of Chianti. Situated high on a hill, it offers beautiful views over the Tuscan valleys. The atmosphere is peaceful, with a lovely, cozy, green, clean, and historic setting. Fantastic little town with tonnes of restaurants and cafes to choose from. The museum ticket is great value as it gets you into lots of the historic sights. We enjoyed the weaponry exhibit as you were allowed to hold and try on the different artefacts which was cool! We parked nearby and paid with card on exit (only line up at the ticket machine if you’re paying cash). The onsite wine shop (connected to the popular winery near by) was delicious too. Would definitely recommend this town for people to visit and dine at!Guest review byLyndalAustralia - 10.0

Gaiole in Chianti is a wonderful little town with a good town center with a good variety of restaurants, a pharmacy and supermarket. It makes the perfect place to make your day trips to other cities, like Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, Rada in Chianti, Greve in Chianti. San Casciano is remote in the beautiful Tuscan Hills, although just 40 minutes slow drive to Florence The hotel is 7 minutes outside the town, so walking is difficult. Need a car to go anywhere. Taxis are not available. This hotel is pretty good, but the much-acclaimed restaurant is, at best, just above average and pricey. Claims to be "special" but isn't! Terrace dining is romantic but watch the wasps in the daytime and mosquitos in the evening. Swmming pool fairly small and crowded. Grounds are pristine and lots of lovely bougainvillea. Reception staff smile a lot. Huge carpark!Guest review byLaurenceUnited Kingdom - 10.0
This place was incredible.
This place was incredible. The property was beautiful and so well kept. The owner, Alex, could t have done more to make sure we were comfortable in our stay and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. He was really friendly, great with our kids and made us feel like we were at home. The rooms were so well decorated, the beds comfy and Alex had great recommendations for exploring the area nearby. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back in an instant.Guest review byGEORGEUnited Kingdom
