- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 108 reviewsThis is a very beautiful hotel. Small and cozy but friendly, warm and inviting, and luxurious in an old-world European way, The spa and pool are gorgeous and so relaxing. The beds are comfortable, and the food is delicious, meticulously prepared, healthy, hearty and generous. It's located right at a chair lift to take you up for beautiful hikes on endless trails in the Dolomites with restaurants every 1.5 miles or so for drinks and Bavarian-style menu options. I can't recommend it enough for a nature-filled, relaxing mountain escape. The town and views are just gorgeous. Beware the drive up to Corvara in Badia is steep and on windy narrow roads for about 45 minutes. Really loved the salad bar every night I must add and the very friendly staff.Guest review byLisaUnited States
- From £265.06 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 204 reviewsThis place is so special, i am so glad we stayed here. If you are looking for a cosy warm feeling in a historical building (complete with creaky floors and small rooms) then you'll love it here. Its like being in a fairytale. Also have to give a shout out to the staff, they are the perfect mix of friendly and professional in such a warm way that you feel like you're welcomed into their home. Definitely leaving our stay with a strong pull to come back. If you're into modern features, minimalist design and generally luxury hotels, you should consider looking elsewhere - there are enough of those accommodations around too.Guest review byTigronaAustria
- From £265.15 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 307 reviewsThe staff were excellent throughout, so attentive to detail and ready to answer questions. They made it a point to recognize me on my birthday during the stay and we were offered an upgraded room at check-in. There was also a huge variety of activities (guided hikes, welcome happy hour, e-bike tours, lunch BBQ, yoga classes, etc.) throughout the week available to guests which offered a nice option if every day wasn't already planned out. Finally, the breadth and quality of the amenities (sun lounging options, pool [indoor + outdoor], sauna, and spa) were all top-notch and very well maintained.Guest review byDavidUnited States

It was in a great location, just a short walk from the slopes, and the facilities, including the ski room and wellness centre, were all excellent. The food was also a real highlight with a fantastic breakfast buffet and daily changing menu. Full board was good value for money.Guest review byPenelopeUnited Kingdom

Area is fabulous. Hotel trying to charge for pool/spa .
Area is fabulous. Hotel trying to charge for pool/spa . They put us in one of their old rooms. Which was not worth the fee. I don’t know why they did that we were one of the few guests that had booked in all week .I thought that was pretty poor of them . The hotel did not inform booking.com there was a fee for using the pool. Pretty mean all round . They knew we not happy and they simply did not care. UnacceptableGuest review byAngelaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We quite liked the village - it felt nicer than most other villages in the surrounding area. This is because it is a bit bigger than most and has more traditional town layout (instead of being village lined out next to the main street). Architecture is mostly traditional, which gives it the right alpine village vibe. There is a good choice for places to eat and a decent SPAR store. Ski lift is nearby. It seems that every other house is a hotel or a guest house, so finding the right accommodation should be fairly easy.Guest review byJanisLatvia - 10.0
Colfosco is great for the views.
Colfosco is great for the views. Amazing if you stay in a place with a view of the mountains. Limited restaurant options. Blackhill was our favorite. The market in Corvara was better for groceries. The town is a good base for driving to some of the most popular hikes in the Dolomites. While my dad called it Cold-fosco, because we seemed to be getting more wind than some other towns in nearby valleys, It is also true that we had a pretty cold September all over the area.Guest review byWriterGuyColombia - 10.0
San Cassiano is a great place to stay in the Alta Badia area...
San Cassiano is a great place to stay in the Alta Badia area of the Dolomites. You are surrounded by the start of some great hiking trails and they are easy to access. It's a smaller village located closer to the Falzarego Pass and the Piz Sorega Cable Car. There are PLENTY of trails to find yourself on here. If you are staying at a local inn, make sure to try local ladin dishes and ask about the local dialect! You won't regret it. For solo female travelers the area is perfect, as I personally felt safe on the trails. Locals are friendly and you get some wonderful views of the surrounding dolomiti peaks.Guest review byKimberlykepharttravelsUnited States - 10.0

La Villa is a relatively small town near Corvara which is a well known large town. It is beautiful everything is slightly cheaper than Corvara and not so busy. The views are picturesque the restaurants are great and it’s not too far from passo Pordoi etc We recommend going in June or July before the chaos of August. It’s our favourite place to go and we will be returning.Guest review byLindaAustralia - 6.0

I did not really explore the locale ... struck me as not a huge amount to do - but I was very happy with the facilities at the Hotel Melodia. Lots of varied skiing - a car makes things very much easier than having to rely on local shuttles.Guest review byMr M to you.Malaysia - 10.0

Probably the best place to ski where we have been so far. Large area, not too crowdy, slopes exactly to our taste (means blue and red :-) ). Well organised. Not sure where to park if you come late to the lift, but it was not our case.Guest review byAlenaCzech Republic - 6.0

La Vall is a good destination for vacations, but it is not a good choice for skiing because it is far from the ski lift and the ski bus does not go very often, so the journey to the ski lift takes a long time.Guest review byJasminaSerbia - 10.0

We didn't visit any of the other small network of towns around Badia, however Corvara seemed the right mix of small town charm and big enough to have a variety of restaurants. We were there at peak season between Christmas and New Years and most restaurant reservations were fully booked already. Next time we will book those earlier.Guest review byMikeUnited States - 10.0
Beautiful South Tyrol resort offering everything you need...
Beautiful South Tyrol resort offering everything you need for any mountain activities you can imagine or just pure relaxation. With mix of old buildings and modern ski infrastructure this place offers true alpine ambient. On top of surroundings I really enjoyed local cuisine that is simple but based on natural local ingredients exceptionally good in every restaurant we had a chance to visit. My favorites were "Chi Cianeis" for lunch and "Plazores" for dinner.Guest review byWiktorPoland
