- From £324.02 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 336 reviewsWe had a fantastic stay at Auberge de la Maison. Most of all we absolutely loved the staff, every one of them was extremely helpful and friendly. The reception staff went out their way to help us and it never felt like it was a burden to them. The bar staff are excellent! And make a wonderful gin sour. The cleaning staff are fabulous, not a spot of dust anywhere and our room was cleaned to a high standard. The turnover service at night is a great wee bonus, first time we've experience this in a hotel. The transfer service is very good, never a long wait and the drivers are friendly and helpful too. Restaurant staff also great and we enjoyed the breakfast. They all really went above and beyond, definitely the best staff we have experienced in a hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful and in a wonderful location. The attention to detail in every part of the hotel really stands out. We felt quite at home and didn't want to leave after our week here.Guest review byAdeleUnited Kingdom

The staff were lovely, nothing was too much trouble and we especially valued the restaurant staff who were very professional and welcoming to us and our children. The rooms were spotless and the facilities of the hotel are great. We enjoyed swimming and using the spa. The quality of the food was very high and we enjoyed it all. Access to the Val Veny lift is a real plus and we hired and stored our skis at Savoye Sport at the top of the lift which was really easy and the equipment was fab quality.Guest review byKirstyUnited Kingdom

Aosta is situated in a beautiful valley in the Italian Alps.
Aosta is situated in a beautiful valley in the Italian Alps. There are many, many activities available, from hiking in the mountains, exploring the side valleys and the Gran Paradiso National Park to visiting some of the 84 castles. The restaurants are good and reasonably priced. It's a great base for a holiday!Guest review bydavid7031Germany - 8.0

Our weather for the two days of skiing was rough and warmer temperatures made the ski out challenging for tired skiers. We didn't get to Versante Checrouit or Val Veny so we can't rate them. The town is fabulous with great restaurants and shops. Especially Aria with its superb food and service. There is a great variety of intermediate and beginner trails but not a lot of expert terrain.Guest review byJasonCanada - 10.0
Such a beautiful town!
Such a beautiful town! I felt like I had a much better spot than the other little towns nearby just because of the ease of access to the Matterhorn hiking area. I just walked out my door and it was right there, no driving necessary. Also, it was extremely convenient to come down off the mountain and just grab some dinner.Guest review byJulieUnited States - 10.0

Nice little village, far from the crowds in Courmajeur and other villages in Val Daosta. It has a groceries store, a bakery and some restaurants/cafe. Definitely less touristy and more authentic. Ideal place to visit the thermal baths, which are fantastic and well worth each euro of the entrance ticket!Guest review byadripagBrazil - 10.0
Small, nice town with numerous restaurants.
Small, nice town with numerous restaurants. Several small markets, one big supermarket open 7 days a week (and not closing for lunch break). The town has an easy autostrada access and is close to Aosta, the largest city in the region. Overall, Saint Vincent gives “small town feel” with having all amenities easily accessible. Good starting point for a day or half day trips to Mont Blanc, Matterhorn (Cervino in Italian) and St. Bernard Pass.Guest review byMiro123456United States - 8.0
La Thuile is a beautiful, quiet and family-friendly village.
La Thuile is a beautiful, quiet and family-friendly village. I visited with my girlfriend, so I didn't go looking for too many Après-Skis. Everything is relatively close and there are some good restaurants. Some of the ski lifts could have been more up-to-date, but nothing negative.Guest review byFranciscoPortugal - 8.0

It could have more restaurants and services, but it is good as well as it is. Remember to book restaurant and taxi in advance and You should be ok. No huge party or disco experience, but I came to ski - so it was ok.Guest review byTapioFinland - 10.0

No lift queues, well-groomed slopes, great restaurants, good value for money. Somewhat slow lifts and relatively narrow slopes, especially during peak hours when the slopes were crowded. If it has snowed, the off-piste skiing in Alagna must be superb.Guest review byThomasSweden - 10.0
I loved Valtournenche!
I loved Valtournenche! This is a small to medium village in the mountains. Lovely atmosphere when walking through the village. Tourist Information Centre for the village and surrounding area available. Plenty of restaurants /cafes to choose from and even a cheese factory! I hate large crowds so Valtournenche was perfect size for me : )Guest review byJoanneAustralia - 10.0

Really liked the mountain area and towns around the Gran Paradiso park. Good base to visit the park, run over to the Hellbronner and Aguille du Midi lifts, visit Aosta. Could have easily spent a whole week in the area doing more hiking (the trail around Lillaz Falls was a great experience during our spring visit) and visiting the small towns in the area. We did see a chamois, but did not spot any ibex during our visit.Guest review byJohnUnited States
