- From £88.16 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 918 reviewsWhat a unique and charming hotel, the staff were very friendly and welcoming but thoroughly professional, breakfast was excellent including a clever offer of sweet or savoury (we both had savoury - delicious!). Our very well-kept room was delightful with original decor, a private terrace overlooking the beautiful lake and an amazing double spa bath tucked away under the bed - great fun and very therapeutic after the night-time drive from the Mediterranean port. The location was super too, we're only sad we missed an operatic performance at the near-by theatre during the Puccini celebrations; the tranquil and delicious surroundings made up for that to some extent. We certainly plan to rectify that disappointment in the near future.Guest review byDominicUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 290 reviewsA lovely hotel with friendly staff. The air con in room was perfect. The pool was amazing and the pool snacks were lovely. Felt we had everything we needed at the hotel. The staff were all lovely and so helpful. If we asked about something they wrote all the info down and gave it to us. We hired 2 bikes and we cycled wherever we wanted to go but next time we will hire a scooter which we were given all the info for at reception. We would like to thank I think his name was Marco? For going above and beyond and taking us to the train station when the taxi failed to turn up! Such a kind and lovely man! Thank you! We will be back September 🙂Guest review byTrevorUnited Kingdom

The historic center is very walkable.
The historic center is very walkable. Most of the sights and museums are right in the center. But also just walking the small side streets and enjoying the atmosphere, enjoying amazing food and coffee was one of my favorite things to do. Saturday market at porta palazzo is truly a must-experience. In the side streets in the city center watch out for small concept stores and cafes/bars; there are some real juwels to discover. If you like street art, to to the area of Campidoglio (10 min. by metro from the station). Really worth it (during the week, as Sunday everything is closed).Guest review byNicoleSwitzerland - 10.0

It is more practical to stay in La Spezia especially if you have luggages to drag along - in CInque Terre, stairs, narrow steps and steep slopes are really challenging to do with baggage. There are wider range of options of food in La Spezia, and considerably cheaper than the ones in Cinque Terre. It is also so convenient to travel from La Spezia to the towns of Cinque Terre.Guest review bySue AnnAustralia - 10.0
It's a beautiful city.
It's a beautiful city. Quite confusing to find your way around. Do not get the train, though. You have a bus replacement at Empoli. I'm fluing back from Pisa and taking the bus to Florence, then the train to Pisa. If you're using Trainline beware of delays which then mess up the rest of the journey. Itabus from Lyon is really comfortable but we were delayed and had to book new connections from Turin. Make sure you have at least two hours leewayGuest review byBridgetUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Great place to stay and a lot of history, arts, and culture to be explored. I didn't expect that it is such a nice and beautiful place. Would recommend to everyone, especially the cafes and tavernas. I had not enough time during my stay to see enough of all the places in Lucca - so will be back - hopefully soon.Guest review byGregorAustria - 10.0

If you want to avoid the touristy cities in Italy, Parma is the place to visit. We travelled by train from Milan, so no need for a car. Easy to walk around, plenty of history and of course the Food is what the city is most famous for.Guest review bySandys - 10.0

Aosta is an amazing village in a stunning valley surrounded by beautiful mountains and filled with magical little corners and piazzas. You literally stumble on amazing Roman ruins and beautiful old buildings, even the shops on the most touristy area have amazing local products and surprising local handcraft. There are fantastic restaurants and the locals are generally very welcoming and helpful. I will certainly be back!Guest review byNunoPortugal - 10.0

We liked exploring the entire City and were fastinated with the old buildings. Only negative comment would be fact you need to pay for the use of the washroom. Most were dirty and lacked toilet seats.Guest review byDanielCanada - 8.0

Not very affordable as you need to pay for beach space and extras. Beaches are meant for all to enjoy and be free like in Australia. All beaches are for all to enjoy. Didn’t go once to the beach to swim or other. It’s not a holiday for summer it’s to expensiveGuest review byChrissoulaAustralia - 10.0
