This hotel is just a stone from the morning market, and a few attractions are within walking distance. The hotel's design has made it a whole new experience level as it was relaxed and comfortable. The staff spoke fluent English and was helpful. Shout out to the front desk, who helped us with the check-in; it was smooth and pleasant with his assistance.

With my wife we stop here on our way to Sapporo. The Onuma quasi national park was amazing itself, lots of birds and the path along the lake is awesome. The hotel was an experience. The interior design with beautiful wood crafted statues made the stay exceptional. I am a smoker and even if in the hotel is not alowed to smoke, the smoking room was comfortable and easy to reach. The rooms are big, extremely clean and there is all you need in them. The view on the lake from our room was great. We had the breakfast which was varied and of high quality. I enjoyed the scrambled eggs, and for my wife, which is vegan, they arranged a great breakfast too. Finally consideration the staff. They all speak English, they are extremely polite and will to help you in order to make your stay pleasant. I absolutely recommend a stay in this hotel to enjoy the wonder of this naturalistic area!

Hotel is well situated close to Hakodate fish market. Room was of generous proportions with plenty of storage space. Kitchen was an added bonus. Hotel had no restaurant so breakfast was either delivered to your room or you had a breakfast voucher which could be redeemed at one of the many restaurants in the fish market. We enjoyed this very much, meaning you could try a different style of food each day. The delivered breakfast was either a set japanese or western style. Staff was friendly and very helpful, despite the language barrier. However they used a portable translation device so there was no problem whatsoever. There are also laundry facilities in the hotel, which is useful.

    Due to big wind and snow in Hakodate, we did not get a chance to visit Mt. Hakodate, but spent most of time in hotel today. Fortunately we booked a Premier Delux Twin room on 12F, with good view and space, plus the nice facility to ensure we had a good stay in the city. 1. The hot spring is super nice. Starting from 14F, then extend to the roof on the 15F. With a good view on Mt. Hakodate and the harbor. 2. Breakfast is wonderful too. 3. Staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend for you to stay here when visit Hakodate!

Hotel location nearby trains station, fish market, red house port, cable car station this all you can by walks. Onsen on 13 floors Top floor, when you in onsen nude standing on the windows on street or others buildings people maybe can saw your birdie haha~ Osen have indoor and outdoor. they have free ice cream in onsen place.

    The La’gent Stay Hotel Hakodate was grea. Our room overlooked the stunning harbour and it so close to the Hakodate Railway Station. It was also very close to the bus depot and where the tram started from and we used both for these modes of transport. The hotel provided sachets of drip coffee in our room which we appreciated as we drink coffee in the morning. We couldn’t fault the hotel or the staff. Thank you for our wonderful if short stay.

    1) Excellent location - very near Hakodate JR Station, opposite Hakodate Morning Market, lots of food options nearby 2) Very friendly staff 3) There's also a lift in the property 4) Cleaning staff will replenish the essentials (via a plastic bag hanging OUTSIDE your doorknob) even if you put the "do not disturb" tag. Overall, had an excellent stay here :) Thank you to all the Hotel New Ote staff!

    If we could give more than 10 we would! Ok, it is a big hotel and not so new but it is amazing. The peaceful view from the room which is spacious. The staff is so kind! And the restaurant has an amazing winelist and the freshest food you can imagine. Not cheap but totally worth it! And the breakfast…delicious!

    Hakodate per se is a quaint lite town, whose main attractions can be visited in one day. However, it can serve as a hub for exploring southern Hokkaido as it has all the necessary services. Food is certaiy a plus, particularly seafood, and prices are lower than elsewhere. Also, compared to larger towns on Honshu, it has a frontier-type of vibe.

    Assabu is a charming and quiet town in southern Hokkaido, perfect for travelers looking to experience the slower, more authentic side of Japan. Surrounded by lush forests and farmland, it offers a peaceful retreat from the busier tourist spots. While Assabu is small, it has a few unique and culturally rich spots that we visited: 1. Assabu Kyodo Shiryokan – A local history museum that gives insight into the town’s heritage. 2. Assabu Shinrin Tenjikan – A forest-themed museum showcasing the region’s natural environment.     Hakodate is a beautiful scenic town surrounded by mountains. It's right on the port so lovely for a summers day. We enjoyed our 3 days here, going up Mt Hakodate and walking around the pretty streets. It would be a beautiful spot in Winter when there is snow.

    The people in Hakodate are kind and friendly.

    The people in Hakodate are kind and friendly. There is much to see and do especially in the Spring season. Travelling around on the tram was very convenient. We really enjoyed Goryokaku Park, Mt Hakodate and Hakodate Park. Also enjoyed Morning Fish Market, Museum Ship Red brick Warehouese. Places of interest included Old Public Hall of Hakodate and Museum of Northern Peoples. The fish market in early morning and salt ramen very good.
