- From US$113.45 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 3,830 reviewsI recently had the pleasure of visiting Japan for the very first time, and I must say that my experience exceeded all expectations, thanks in large part to the incredible hospitality and humbleness I encountered at the hotels I stayed in. From the moment I stepped foot in Japan, I was captivated by the warm welcome and genuine kindness extended by the people, and this sentiment was mirrored by the exceptional service I received at the hotels. I want to specifically call out one of your staff member who despite her shift log out she noticed me looking for me to locate the hotel and escorted me to the hotel reception. That was way too exceptional. Kudos ! Every corner of the rooms and common areas reflected a meticulous attention to detail, showcasing the Japanese commitment to cleanliness and orderliness. I found this aspect of my stay particularly refreshing and it further enhanced my overall experience. The staff's friendly attitude truly made me feel at home during my stay. Each encounter with the hotel staff was marked by their genuine warmth and eagerness to assist. Whether it was providing recommendations for local attractions, answering my inquiries, or simply engaging in friendly conversation, their kind demeanour made a lasting impression. Their unwavering commitment to ensuring my comfort and satisfaction was truly commendable and added an extra layer of enjoyment to my trip. Beyond the exceptional service, it was the humbleness of the hotel staff that truly struck a chord with me. Despite their professionalism and dedication, they remained humble and approachable. There was never a sense of superiority or distance, but rather a genuine desire to connect and provide an authentic experience. Overall, my first visit to Japan was an unforgettable experience, largely thanks to the humble and hospitable nature of the staffGuest review bySumeetIndia
- From US$230.95 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 6,688 reviewsWonderful stay with a beautiful sea view! I had an amazing stay at the Kobe Meriken Park Oriental Hotel. The sea view room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable — perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The hotel is quiet and peaceful, making it a great place to clear your mind and just enjoy the moment. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options, both Japanese and Western styles — a great way to start the day. The staff were kind, helpful, and professional, making the whole experience even more pleasant. There’s a FamilyMart just downstairs, and even a small spot to grab fresh paper and pens, which I found very thoughtful. Transportation was also convenient — it’s a short walk from the nearest station and close to the harbor area, perfect for sightseeing. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kobe. It’s ideal for those looking for comfort, convenience, and a peaceful atmosphere with a stunning sea view.Guest review byzhangQatar

If you want to experience a little bit of traditional Japan, Osaka would be a go-to place. You can just take a train and go to Kyoto for a day or two. What's not to like about Osaka. There's Dotonbori, Universal studios, Legoland, sights and sounds like Umeda sky for the views.. not to mention the castles aaaand.. Donki's everywhere. Don't take my word for it. Go and experience for yourself!Guest review byLee - 10.0

Kobe is a great city to visit. A vibrant, buzzing and cosmopolitan city with memorable features such as the ropeway to the herb garden at the JR Shin Kobe Station at Sannomiya (an absolute must for visitors), the Maya cable car and ropeway and the Akashi bridge to Awaji Island.Guest review byPeterAustralia - 10.0
Nara is beautiful.
Nara is beautiful. There are two UNESCO world heritage sites and lots of deer. If you are afraid of animals, I don't recommend it. The deer will follow you if you have food and they may try to take it from you if you hesitate or don't gently push them away. They are not, as a general rule, aggressive. A lot of tourists freak out and just throw their crackers. Don't do that. Stay calm. The deer don't want to hurt you, they just want a snack. They don't care for being pet either. Just snap your crackers (200 yen sold at different stands) into 3-4 pieces, hold out your hand flat and let them take it from you. Be aware of how many are around you. They will surround and nibble your clothing. I found this hilarious. I grew up with cows and they will pretty much do the same thing. Use your voice and be gentle. The one day bus pass is really useful. I wish I had more time in Nara.Guest review bySarahUnited States - 10.0

We only stayed one night when we arrived as we needed a place to recharge and freshen up before we head to Kyoto. The hotel is very nice with complete amenities in the room. The room we occupied has the view of the airport runway but we never heard any noise coming from the airplanes arriving and taking off. A bit expensive but it was worth it. Breakfast buffet was very good too.Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0

Himeji is obviously very famous for its castle, but other than that lacks many things to do. I found my time there to be rather boring, and we often struggled to find activities to fill our nights with. We used Himeji as a central location to take day trips from - since we booked during Golden Week, hotel prices in more ideal areas, such as Kobe, were heavily inflated and unreasonable.Guest review byJacob - 10.0

We are Americans so we had really little knowledge of Shirahama as a resort city. It was at the tail end of a 3 week tour of Japan and was very restful. Fortunately, we were there after Golden Week and before the main tourist season, so it was quiet and relaxing. We had fun over two nights at a local Turkish restaurant, Blue Bar. We'd recommend it. Also, the beach seemed quite nice although we had one day or rain so we didn't hang out there. While this wouldn't be a regular stop for Americans, I think it is worthwhile and an easy train ride to the airport in Osaka.Guest review byAndrew - 10.0

The scenic mountains near the city offers stunning sunset views. The Sakura were in full bloom. There are several parks around the city, and the impressive Wakayama castle. The hotel (Candeo Hotels Nankai) is great value - fantastic river views, rooftop onsen that you can enjoy the sunset. And right at the Wakayama Station. Good dining options around the hotel too.Guest review byKwokSingapore - 10.0

One of Japan's six ancient kiln towns. If you are into ceramics it's a brilliant place to visit. If you're not, it's a lovely, relaxed town with nice walks and good places to eat. Very close to Nagoya airport. There is a free shuttle bus into Tokoname or use the station. Home of the lucky waving cat - Maneki Neko!Guest review byCerysUnited Kingdom - 10.0
RELAXING QUIET GIFU!
RELAXING QUIET GIFU! We just wanted to visit other places in Japan. We have been to Japan a few times already. We like going to these kind of relaxing places. We went hiking, we walked everywhere since everything was walkable. We had so much local food and sake of course! ONSEN! Nature everywhere! We also met some of my aunt's family and friends. It felt like a home. We love everything in here. We could have stayed longer but will be back and will see the other sights. Thank you GIFU! :)Guest review byisi paniniPhilippines
