This is my first review in booking, there is reasons for that. I had to stay for some reasons 9 days in Narok. Narok is a little town with people. Point. Narok has good roads in many directions, use them! This Hotel must have been a very nice place some years ago, but as time goes by: the best days have been gone. It is kind a rundown now.. So whats positive: Very good view to the River (go downstairs, upstairs is like jail) Downstairs the rooms have big doors to a kind of "balcony" (is more a way for everybody to go the rooms.) There is no key for the balcony door, but don't worry! They show you how to brak it open without a key. Its safe! There is electric fence with Alarm around the place (I know that, becouse the alarm was running loud 3 days in a row all nigh longt, so you can be sure it is on) Very hot water! (yes, it is very hot - you will realise that, when the cold water is not running. It is so hot, it will be too hot to have a shower, which happend to me) There is Internet. Sometimes. if it is there- it is okay, but slow (often there isn't, so dont rely it) I guess Internet is depending on the room. They provide flip flops for the bathroom! (Use them! The bathroom is flooded when you use the toilet) There are not too many Moskitos - you will get used to them. (Luckily, because all Moskitonets are broken) Breakfast is good (I was for days the only guest. If you like horoor movies like "shining" and sitting alone in a huge hall to eat, you will enjoy it a lot!) Staff is mostly friendly (the manager is trying very hard to be friendly. You will realise that when he is suddenly standing without asking in the middle of your room) You will sure find a parking place (it is all empty) TV is working (if you like local Kenya TV- you will love it, don't expect more)

Food is well presented and tasty however it is a bit salty.

Food is well presented and tasty however it is a bit salty. If there is tea pots, and some sweets the stay would be more relaxing. Breakfast and Lunch box we had for game drive was excellent with tasty Rosemary chicken roast. There you can find many animals during your stay in Kobe Mara, so you may feel as if you are staying in the park. What makes this camp outstanding is absolutely hospitality of the staffs. We definitely recommend this camp and we like to come back again soon.

Purity and Alex were great guides! We had one extended game drive and we were able to see everything in just one day! The place was peaceful and nice. During July, it may get a little cold inside the tents… cleanness was immaculate!

Mara Explorer Tented camp is awesome.

Mara Explorer Tented camp is awesome. The food was epic, the game drives were excellent and our guide was superb. One issue though is when booking all Inclusive we assumed this was all we would need to pay as this stated game drives included but it doesn’t include park fees which are an additional 100 USD per person per day so we were stuck with an extra USD 600 which we had not budgeted for. Make sure you have the means to pay the park fees in addition to any other costs. This does make it much more expensive. A cheaper alternative is the Nairobi National Park.

    Keekorok is in fabulous location.

Keekorok is in fabulous location. Especially for Game Drive just outside of camp you Will see many animals. Exactly outside of your room you can walk around and enjoy with Garden and swimming pool and walking toward the Hippo pool takes 5 minutes. Staff were excellent. Sometimes during the day the power went out. And another things which I have to mention the quality of food can be much better. If you pay for full board Drinks not included even water.

Great place, lots of animals, beautiful landscapes. Pity that the guides from some travel agencies are not respecting the large carnivores (lions, cheetah) and come too close. Also some guides are allowing tourists to sit on the roof of the jeep, which is forbidden as it is frightening animals.

The national park is really beautiful. went to safari for three days and could get almost all the Animals. Missed Migartion as the Zebras were reluctant to cross the river though they have gone down few times and came up again. our driver and vehicle were very good. He had taken extra efforts to show us all the animals in Vantage points. The double horned Rhino sighting was memorable. That was the only time when we spotted a Rhino in the whole 10 days trip to four national parks. The Animals were found to be very healthy. We were not lucky enough to spot any Chasing and hunting scenes. The National Park roads are good though little dusty. Had packed lunch from the camp.

Fig Tree safari camp is in an amazing location! The entire camp is surrounded by a river that you look out at from your room, complete with hippos and other wildlife. The camp is very safe with Maasai men patrolling the park all night. They also walk you to your tent after dark. There is a beautiful pool, campfire, dining room. It’s worth the drive!

Breathtaking experience. If you love nature and want to connect with it, this is the palace to visit. Very easy to get around. And see lots of wild animals especially the lion which could be seen easily in this reserve and not seen easily in the other game parks.
