The hotel is set in a romantic garden of coconut palms and has a clean swimming pool big enough to take a few swimming strokes and relax aching legs after a day exploring pagodas and archaeological remains. The room was spacious, nicely decorated, clean, as was the bathroom. The staff is very friendly and tries to ensure a pleasant stay for the guests. There is also a restaurant in the garden, which serves very good breakfast and dinner. We would definitely come back.

The most beautiful family of hosts that went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The rooms are brand new, very clean and tidy and well presented. The food menu was simple and the food incredibly tasty... and extremely good value! Organised a full day safari jeep at a fantastic rate for us. The hospitality can not be over-stated... absolutely beautiful family! Definitely recommend.

Staying in Wilpattu Wildhideaway was truly an unforgettable experience. The highlight of my stay was the delicious traditional dinner served at the hotel. Anta expertly crafted local dishes that provided a delightful taste of Sri Lankan cuisine, showcasing the rich flavors and spices of the region. Additionally, the hotel's Safari experience was amazing. Anta provided valuable insights into the flora and fauna, making the safari not just an exciting journey but also an educational one. We observed sloth bear, monkeys, a lot of peacocks, other birds and lizards and buffaloes. It was unforgettable!

We loved our stay here. Chaya is an exceptionally warm and welcoming hostess. The accommodation was charming (we were in the cottage). Air conditioning and the new wifi were very good. Chaya arranged an excellent tuktuk tour with a very helpful driver (Nameka). Her cooking is superb. We also did a Sri Lankan cooking class with Chaya - this was held in her lovely outside kitchen dining area. Highly recommended.

We had a very pleasant stay at Treasure House Tourist Rest. The accomodation had everything we Needed and the owners are so kind. They told us so much about Anaradhapura and it’s history.     The welcome and the service that we received were exceptional - unrivalled by any other hotel visited during three weeks in Sri Lanka. The staff were genuinely happy that we were their guest, and they were not afraid to show it. From the moment we arrived, they did everything and more to make sure that we were comfortable. The central courtyard garden lent the hotel an idyllic cosy community feel and allowed us to feel nicely isolated from the bustle of the streets outside. The pool area was scenic, the pool functional, and there were a bunch of sun beds from which to capture the sun as it moved above the tree line. One of us fell ill during our stay. The manager offered to take us to the hospital, assisted us there, and the entire team attended to us tirelessly day after day - including complimentary afternoon tea in our room. Bicycles were available to borrow to get around and see the various fascinating heritage sites - and we'd really recommend using them! Breakfast was predominantly Euro-continental, incredibly generous, and tastier than anything else we had in Sri Lanka outside of 5* hotels. Dinner was tasty too. The menu was diverse and competitively priced. Table service was exquisite. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and secure. The location was great - perfectly situated for exploring town, set back from the road so as to be silent at night, and with quick access to the lake on foot. A beautiful gaggle of peacocks graces the gardens. The hotel arranged our onward travel to Trincomalee in a comfortable car at a competitive price.

    Beautiful hotel in a great location for anyone who wants to experience what Anuradhapura has to offer. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The breakfast was included with our stay and we opted for the Sri Lankan style breakfast. It was so delicious and we ordered the same for the second day as well. Overall a very positive experience and I highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to spend time in Anuradhapura.

    Amazing history of the city and its fantastic old and newer temples. Thoroughly enjoyed our Sri Lanka traditional cooking experience, a must do in Anuradhapura. Wildlife park was great with many different animals and birds, but didn’t seem to be large numbers of animals.
