Taprobane was the most amazing hotel we stayed in during our trip in Sri Lanka. Staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. They were so smiley and welcoming and also looked after us so well! The hotel is new and extremely clean. The rooms are huge. The bed is lovely. The whole place is genuinely well made and maintained. Absolute gem of a hotel. We ordered room service the last night of our stay and the butter prawns were tremendous. We were pleasantly surprised to see the food being so on point too! If you are staying in Colombo this hotel is THE place to get some rest from the city bustle. Well done to everyone working there and special thanks to Deeptha for his support and efforts!

As a female solo traveler, my experience at Zylan Boutique Hotel in Colombo was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with the warmest hospitality, making me feel instantly welcome and safe in a foreign city. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary upgrade to a suite, which was both spacious and immaculately clean. The room boasted great water pressure in the shower, and the bathroom amenities – including a dental kit and shower gel – were thoughtfully provided, which I greatly appreciated as I was traveling with hand luggage only. Breakfast at Zylan was a delight. The à la carte menu offered a variety of classic options, allowing me to choose from freshly prepared eggs, chicken sausage, or pork bacon, accompanied by crispy hash browns, a delightful fruit platter, and an assortment of breads with jams, oats, and cereals. There was certainly something for every palate, and the quality exceeded my expectations. The attentive service at Zylan Boutique Hotel truly stood out. The staff was not only friendly but also highly professional, providing stellar service that is worthy of a five-star rating. Their commitment to guest satisfaction was evident throughout my stay. The hotel is situated in a calm area away from the hustle and bustle, which allowed me to enjoy some peaceful moments after a day of exploring Sri Lanka's vibrant culture. I wholeheartedly recommend Zylan Boutique Hotel to anyone visiting Colombo, particularly for solo travelers. I enjoyed my time so much that I would come back immediately!     Dehiwela is very multi cultural and many differant varieties of restaurants and clothing along hill street which we stayed. people were very nice and polite to us and we felt safe even at late hours. also walking along hill street is quite a visual experience and we have done a few food crawls (like pub crawl but for food! ) along hill street. I would recommend dehiwela as a yet undiscovered gem in sri lanka with its own personality.

    Lovely town.

    Lovely town. Sri Lankan government buildings are located in this town. Citizenship and Immigration, Visa and NIC offices are here. There is also the Diyawanna Lake with board walks, bicycle routes, Parks and walk ways, perfect sceneries. Easy to get around town just by walking. About 30 minutes drive from Colombo Port City and One Galle Face Mall. About 45 minutes drive from Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport.

    This 3-Level Apartment has 3 Bed Rooms and is located in a secure and convenient location in Rajagiriya, Sri Lanka. The Hosts were quite friendly and responsive to your needs. The accommodation is well-equipped for a long-term stay as well. All Appliances and Equipment were in working order. The Washing Machine helped me to travel with less clothes. The Accommodation had a separate entrance with access to the Electric Roller Door. The 3rd Level had the Laundry with access to a Roof Top terrace where clothes could be dried and having a 360 degree view of the surroundings incl. high rise buildings in Colombo.

    Basically this is like apartment. such like include Bedroom, Hall, Small Balcony, Bathrom and Kitchen. Close to Colombo City and the attraction places soround colombo, Wellawatte, Dehiwala zoo, Lotus Tour, One Galle Face, Galle Face Beach, Majestic City, Local restaurants including vegeterian takeaway places, ect.. Easy to public transportation to anywhere around sri lanka ( Most of the places ).

    Great place to stay in Colombo area away from city centre but close enough for easy access to city amenities, shops and restaurants. Lovely colonial era building full of charm. The terrace and pool area is unique - right on the ocean. Nothing quite like it in the Colombo area.
