I felt like I am a movie star in an old italian film :) Fabulous little hotel at the central town square! I loved arhitecture of the hotel and old style bilinds on the windows - "škure"! Marko was a great host. He recomended boat excursion which was fantastic! He has helped a lot on my way to Virpazar suggesting best directions. Ladies working at the reception and in a restaurant were very nice and polite. They have recomened little antique exibition at the attic of the hotel. My best recommendations for Pelikan hotel!

    Apartments are on a great location (near the supermarket as well as the city center and bigger beaches). Location is quiet and peaceful, a perfect place to rest outside of the city's turmoil. Both the owner and the cleaning lady were very kind, informative and welcoming. Owner helped us find the way to the apartment (Google maps don't navigate you all the way). We were given a free parking place in the shade within the complex. Atmosphere is relaxed, home-like. We were given an extra day free of charge. Pools are very clean, water is regularly changed. Sunset view from the pool is just magnificent. Good quality free WiFi is available throughout the premises. There are enough sunbeds available (both next to the pool and on the private beach). Furniture was a bit dated, but nevertheless comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped and functional. Outside grill is available free of charge. All in all - we had a great time and would definitely come again!

    The season doesn't start at full swing until 1st June. We had the property to ourselves ( group of 9) between 25-31 May. We were upgraded to top floor apartment for no extra charge. The sunset views are amazing. The views from the backyard are stunning. The swimming pool is great for young guest and the older ones too. Five minutes walk from the beach. New, lovely members of staff look after guests and the place at the highest standards. I have holiday blues already...

    The location was perfect - just steps from the beautiful Sutomore beach with stunning sea views. The property had a lovely Mediterranean charm with the balconies and greenery. The accommodation was comfortable and well-maintained, making it easy to relax after days exploring the coastline. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly towards Russian guests, which made us feel right at home. Great value for a 3-night stay!

    I’ve been to Sutomore more than once… and I think I’m officially in love with this place! 💙 The beach is amazing, the sea feels like warm soup, the sun seems to shine just for us, and the vibe? 100% stress-free zone! 😎 If you’re looking for a place to relax, recharge and forget all your worries – Sutomore is the one.     The coast is beautiful and perfect for swimming, snorkeling and sunsets. We liked the fact you could walk all the way from our apartment to the town. It's very touristy in town and the town itself wasn't particularly special, but we enjoyed the reasonably priced bars and restaurants as well as some jetskiing.

    It is a small place crowded with cars and people. First of all it is dirty and untidy, rubish all over the place. We got stomach flu because of it. The nature is great but it's a pitty people have ruined it.

    Clearly, whole place is a huge health issue. Rooms and resort is OK but there are following issues: Restaurant is too small for number of rooms and people checked in. There are no cold and hot food service lines and all the cold meats and cheese are melted, no air conditioning, fly everywhere and on the food. Huge health issue. Rooms are not cleaned at all, we arrived and got dirty room. Whole resort is full of trash. Big complaint to Booking.com as well. I wrote them an email about this issue but they are not monitoring customer service email any longer. They keep directing you to the hotel customer service, which is OK if the issue is fixable but in this case was not. Later on my daughter got sick from food poisoning and was admitted in ER in nearby town. Shame on you booking.com as well.

    Bar is a good place for relaxing on the beach and watching...

    Bar is a good place for relaxing on the beach and watching ships go by in a less touristy environment compared to Budva, which is more crowded by comparison. My favourite place is Shushanj beach, which is shaded by pines. Bar is a small city and can be easily walked on foot. Bar is conveniently located for trips to cities like Budva by a tourist boat, the capital Podgorica, Ulcinj to the south, and the huge Skadar Lake. Ulcinj is some 40 minutes away by bus. Old Bar can be reached by a local bus for 1 EUR. Podgorica and the town of Virpozar on Skadar Lake can be reached cheaply by bus or train, although the path from the train station in Virpozar is unmarked and not obvious. I suggest studying Google maps set to satellite view to identify the path before going. Obviously, any place can also be reached by taxi. Bar has a passenger port terminal, but it is not clear if any ferries go to Italy or elsewhere from there. Cruise ships call in regularly, however. There are regular outdoor concerts featuring folk and rock music, Fratello night club is in the center of the town, but I have not visited it. My attempts to find Casino Royal from James Bond movie failed. I've been told it's a fictional place. I could not locate any museums of history or art in Bar. There is a small museum in Old Bar, and the ruins of the castle are an outdoor museum (entrance is 5 EUR).

    Sutomore is a very friendly little seaside bay, lined with shops and restaurants, all reasonably priced. What food produce you cannot get from the smaller seafront shops you will find in the bigger shops along the main road that you arrived via. Everyone seems to speak perfect English and everyone was super friendly. The little seafront road can be chaotic and with no dedicated footpath you need to be careful. The bay itself is beautiful with limestone mountains behind you and clear blue water in front of you. Together with two castles you can freely visit and with also the possibility to get to a lake tour within minutes, if you use the tunnel, or take the mountain route road and see fantastic panoramas of both sides of the mountain range, and with snow capped Albanian mountains along the horizon - the place is a dream come true.

    It is a small village I can say, just built for tourism.

    It is a small village I can say, just built for tourism. A nice little walk every evening, with several good restaurants for you to enjoy a decent meal at a fair price. For me personally it is better to have BB instead of a hal- or full-board because of these little restaurants or taverns where you can find a really good bite. Always looking to try something new.

    We did not stay in Virpazar but walked there about 8 km from...

    We did not stay in Virpazar but walked there about 8 km from our village (Seoca). For (part of) the back trip we arranged a boat bringing us back to our closest beach, like a taxi, for a price much less than a regular boat tour. Retrospectively, this was a good idea.
