The personnel were very polite and helpful. The hotel is in a perfect spot. The ferry to Valletta is less than 5 minutes away. The building is really old and historical , rooms are spacious with high ceilings and beds are huge and very comfortable. Breakfast is amazing and the rooftop pool has just stunning views.

The hotel had only opened two weeks ago and everything was modern and new. Our room was spacious, with lots of storage space, the bathroom brand new and the mattress ideal for relaxing after a busy day. The breakfast was decent. The area where the hotel is located is quiet. The staff was very kind and cooperative. We recommend it!

>> Pros: This place is superb! Overly impressed by all the details and such a character! Well, probably all because of the host Maria who deserves more than congratulations to everything she put there, and how pleasant was to also spontaneously meet her after "breakfast"*. Extremely pleasant stay, amazing building, extraordinary interior design. View from the lovely terrace is even better than the pictures! The pool was like OMG, besides not using it tho. The location can not be more incredible also, it's such an easy access by ferry to Valletta (not that easy to know that ahead but now keep in mind). also easier to park than I imagined (talking about early March), if I knew before, I would probably consider staying more days and not bothering about booking a place with parking. Basically, can't wait to come back with more time, use the pool, enjoy the pedestrian streets even more and be at this beautiful place. *There's no breakfast listed, but Maria is so gentle to provide an enormous list of items that are very good to start the day with some food already (and of course coffee).

Nice appartment in the heart of Birgu old centre. You get coffee and all necessity in the kitchen and also in the bathroom, as you would get in the hotel.

The location was perfect. Tony and everybody we met at BOCO was a joy. It really is a special place. The breakfast sets you up for the day, the rooms are very comfortable and have everything you require and the roof terrace is a perfect way to end your day. A great great boutique hotel. A beautiful spacious apartment in a rustic building with magnificent view of the harbour. Located in a peaceful neighborhood in the enchanting locality of Birgu. The surrounding walkable areas are simply fantastical with so many picturesque alleys with the Maltese doors and windows. The building is easily accessible by cabs and the nearest ferry station is just 15 mins walk. For food don’t miss ‘d Centre’ a local authentic Maltese restaurant just 10 mins walk from here. We had dinner here almost daily. It’s a fine apartment which has been neatly furnished and has everything you will need including a fridge, TV, fully equipped kitchen, a spacious bathroom and is located on 1st floor (no elevator). The view of the harbour from the living room is simply magnificent. Birgu is the best area to stay in Malta if you want to experience the old enchanting rusticity of this country.

Brand new place, really nice interior, equipped with iron/ironing board, washing machine, table and chairs, fridge freezer, hobs, oven and kitchen ware. Also with air conditioning which was so necessary in the summer. Great location in Cospicua/Bormla, easy access to bus services or a short walk/bus across to Birgu where you can catch a ferry shuttle to Valletta or the small regular canoe boats for 2 euro. Definitely do this instead of taking a bus to Valletta or a Bolt, so nice! Perfect for a solo traveller, couple or a group. Easy communication with the host.

We loved staying here, this was our 5th time in Malta and for us Cospicua ticked many, many boxes. We were a ten minute downhill walk to the port, so access to Valetta etc was easy. Views of the harbour and forts were breathtaking and the sunsetting made the place very dreamy. Parking was free and easy. No shops near our apartment/house. We found the locals very nice - even the ones that were not serving to selling to us. Some steps are slippery and uneven and although it adds to the charm we wouldn't suggest anyone who has trouble keeping their balance come alone. There are hills to climb and lots of stairs.

Much of Malta can be crowded and noisy. Birgu is quiet in terms of people but still has all the old streets and architecture and restaurants to enjoy. More relaxing, with so much centred on the harbour. The ferry to Valletta goes every half an hour so it is still well connected.

Great base for exploring the three cities and Valletta, Senglea was more relaxing than a stay in Valletta but had great transport links to and from Valletta, with Senglea being one of the three cities the other two were adjoined and therefore accessible either on foot or by taxi. There was a good variety of restaurants and all very reasonably priced, we never had a bad meal during our stay. Places we ate at and would recommend were Aroy-d-Fusion, Il-Pirata, Il-Hnejja and Novita,

We loved Vittoriosa - or Bergu, to give it its local name. It's full of history, the local people are incredibly friendly, and it's a great place from which to explore the rest of the island. We didn't have a car - Vittoriosa has a lot of very narrow cobbled streets, not car-friendly - a plus as far as we were concerned! If you're interested in Malta's history, stay here.

You are a short walk via steps or road from the harbour, Fort, Museums, good cafes and restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the Date Art cafe and Enchante restaurant. There is easy access to Valletta via ferry. A great base for sight seeing which is quieter than Valletta.

The only location to consider staying in the Three Cities area is Birgu. A small place with quaint streets and lovely architecture. No 2 bus takes you to Valletta or you can walk just along the waterside to the ferry. A number of places to eat in the village square or along the waterfront make Birgu a great relaxing destination or base to visit Malta. Had a fabulous tasty meal at BeBirgu in their pretty courtyard. The only thng we would avoid if visiting Birgu again would be to stay at 12-16 Pacifiku Scicluna. Not a good accommodation (see reviews for room 2). Please avoid it.

I just returned from a 17 days stay in this house, and I was really lucky with this find. You cannot find a better location in or around Valletta. The entire Vittoriosa is oozing with charm, with its narrow tiled streets just below the massive St. Angelo fortress at the end of the peninsula. I was all around the different parts of Valletta, and nothing beats Vittoriosa. It reminded me a bit of the old Jerusalem.
