- From US$1,238.09 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 194 reviewsFrom the very moment you step into the Maldives, Lily Resort takes hospitality to a whole new level. Even before arrival, the hotel reaches out to arrange transfers, ensuring a seamless start to your vacation. While we initially opted for a domestic flight and speedboat (not recommended, as you lose half a day), our return by seaplane was nothing short of perfection—quick, luxurious, and topped off with a VIP car greeting at the airport. Pure bliss! From the second you land, you are treated like royalty. Greeted by the general manager, guest relations team, personal butler, and even a live music orchestra, you instantly realize you’ve arrived in paradise. The attention to detail is impeccable—your butler takes care of everything, from a buggy tour of the island to offering a refreshing cocktail and cooling face towel after your journey. Whatever you need, they are just a message away. Overwater Villa – A Slice of Heaven (10/10) Stepping into our overwater villa was like stepping into a dream come true. The room was spotless, beautifully scented, and elegantly furnished, featuring: A massive bathroom with both a jacuzzi bathtub and a luxurious shower. Thoughtfully provided amenities—toothbrushes, razors, combs, shower caps, slippers, plush robes, and endless towels. A private infinity pool with a jacuzzi, filled with perfectly warm, crystal-clear water. A unique outdoor bathroom, where you can gaze at fish while taking a shower. A super-comfy king-sized bed with the freshest linens, plus a cozy daybed ideal for lounging with premium-quality TV and music systems. A fully stocked minibar—soft drinks, alcohol, snacks, and treats, all included! A spectacular glass floor panel, giving a mesmerizing view of marine life beneath your feet, day and night. Reliable high-speed internet—no lag, perfect for video calls and streaming. Everything in the villa was designed for absolute comfort—10/10 perfection!Guest review byAndrejsLatvia
- From US$1,218.79 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 684 reviewsOur stay at Sun Island Villa Resort was absolutely amazing! Everything was perfectly organized from the very beginning – the transfer was smooth, and just 4 hours after landing in Male, we were already transfered from International Airport, checked in and settled in our villa on Sun Island. We were delighted that our request for an upgrade to a Sunset Deluxe Villa was accommodated upon arrival. The villa (No. 495) was right by the water – spacious, just renovated nicely designed, and impeccably clean. Waking up to the breathtaking ocean view and having direct access to the water was truly unforgettable. The food included in the all-inclusive package was outstanding – a huge selection of dishes in the main restaurant, always fresh and well prepared. No matter your culinary preferences, there was something for everyone. An excellent à la carte restaurants (we were at thai and italian restaurants and both are highly recommend). A lot of additional activities was a fantastic bonus – from diving and water sports to excursions, gym and spa treatments, there was never a dull moment. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable and luxurious. Special thanks to: BODEY - our incredible waiter, who made our dining experience truly exceptional. He was always incredibly kind, ensuring we had the perfect table with a direct ocean view. It felt like he anticipated our needs before we even asked—always nearby whenever we needed anything. His attentive and warm service made every meal even more enjoyable. AFRIN - our wonderfull host who took care of every detail to ensure our stay was absolutely perfect and we are daily informed about all activities available. She was always available, incredibly helpful, and organized everything seamlessly, making our experience truly unforgettable. Her kindness and professionalism made us feel so welcomed.Guest review byMarcinPoland
- From US$1,306.31 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 265 reviewsNice resort! You will get to experience every aspect of the holiday in the Maldives, at a reasonable rate, such as a journey by the sea-plane, being greeted by the resort personnel with drums, staying at a secluded heaven-like resort with wonderful clean beaches and tropical vegetation, incredible coral reef all around with beautiful fishes, staying in the water villa. if you have never been to the Maldives, choose this resort. You will not regret it for a second. Special thanks to Veligandu for special treatment on the day of our anniversary: excellent design in the room with the flowers and swan sculptures on the bed, the bottle of sparkling drink in the ice bucket, specially decorated table at dinner. The reef is one of the best in the Maldives, no matter in which direction you will swim, you will see thousands of colourful fish. But an especially nice reef starts opposite the main restaurant. I swam around the whole island except the "airport" area. It was nice everywhere. CHOOSE SEA VILLA no matter how much more expensive it is. it is much better and the experience is from another world. We stayed at both (beach and sea villas), we can tell.Guest review byAlexeyCyprus
- From US$388.44 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 73 reviewsA wonderful resort on a beautiful island. We stayed in the Deluxe Overwater Villa, which was luxuriously furnished and equipped. The entrance directly from the terrace to the water was amazing. They cleaned twice every day and refilled the water bottles in the morning. They cook excellently in the restaurant. A large selection of local and Italian cuisine at dinner. Also fish every day. The kitchen staff also took care of our gluten-free diet - they baked gluten-free bread and pastries and prepared gluten-free pasta. Free water served at dinner. Beautiful sandy beaches with a coral reef with fish, turtles and reef sharks. Attentive staff. We recommend it to everyone.Guest review byDavidCzech Republic
- From US$1,037.50 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 206 reviewsThis was my second stay at LUX and once again it was a truly special experience. We stayed in August, with wonderful weather, in a beautiful water villa overlooking the crystal-clear sea. The resort is enchanting: the island is large and well equipped, offering many facilities such as a gym, diving center, six restaurants and several bars. The international breakfast was excellent and served in two different restaurants. During our stay we dined almost every evening at Umami, the Japanese restaurant: outstanding food thanks to Chef Jester and impeccable service by Reehaan. I highly recommend trying it.Guest review byIreneItaly
- From US$820.46 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 101 reviewsFantastic stay at Diamonds. Very smooth transfer service via seaplane and from the first second in the staff made me feel so at home. The island itself is actual paradise on earth. I stayed in the Bungalow and due to it being low season it felt very private. Everything felt fresh and new, plenty of activities to do like snorkelling and yoga or just to relax and escape the world. Loved watching the seaplanes land from my balcony. Food was amazing for an all inclusive, two different restaurants, a buffet and plenty of different options every day. Cockatils very strong! Really didn't want to leave.Guest review byAnnaAustralia

Dhigurah is a beautiful island with a long sandy beach,...
Dhigurah is a beautiful island with a long sandy beach, without sunbeds and umbrellas, the palm trees lining the island will provide you with sufficient shade. At the end of the island there is a sandbank, which can be reached by walking, cycling or scooter through the tropical forest. There are several shops with groceries, souvenirs and restaurants on the island. There is a lot of accommodation in different places on the island with quality services. The local people are smiling and friendly. There is a hospital, a police station, the Maldivian office and mosques on the island. Waste from the island is taken to the forest, where it is burned in the afternoon, we only felt the smoke from the waste when there was a strong wind. You can get to the island from the airport by speedboat, the journey takes about two hours, if you suffer from nausea, I recommend taking anti-nausea medicine, you will definitely need it when the waves are bigger. There is a coral reef around the island, you can see many colorful fish, we were lucky to see a turtle and a small shark. There are resorts on the surrounding atolls, to which seaplanes fly daily. What we didn't like on the island is the massive construction of new accommodation facilities, I'm afraid that in a short time, there will be more tourists on the island than locals and the island will lose its authenticity and beauty.Guest review byHanaCzech Republic - 10.0

An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.Guest review byMaureenCanada - 10.0

I didn't like that the island lost most of it's green and I didn't see the wild nature I prefer. There was a lot of construction going on the moment I was there, I felt discomfort because of that. And maybe in 1-2 years it's going to be over I think. But on the other hand there's just amazing diving on the house reef and nearby reefs. There's a lot of nice restaurants and there was no day I felt bored.Guest review byOlgaRussia - 10.0

We enjoyed 7 days on the island. The rooms are very clean. The food is AMAZING! Everyone from staff are kind. The resort is sustainable, they try very hard to recycle and repurpose almost everything which is really nice. All inclusive is the smarter choice, trust me😄 The snorkeling is really fun! The whole island stands on coral reef and there is a lot to see! Maybe bring your own equipment, although you can rent. I don’t recommend the visit to the local island, nothing to see there We absolutely recommendGuest review byZoran GolomeovNorth Macedonia - 6.0
Great for diving but not so great for snorkeling.
Great for diving but not so great for snorkeling. The reef is very far out and at times the current was very strong. Prices for trips to see the whale sharks were quite expensive at 75 USD. And there were tons of other boats at the same spots - very zoo-like. Bikini beach, the only beach you can swim at in only your bathing suit is fairly shallow and windy. The better beach beside it requires you to be clothed. However, the local people are super nice and helpful.Guest review byEllenCanada - 6.0

It was not my first time in Maldives and my experience there was disappointing compared to my previous trips in other resorts. The quality of service is poor and it’s a shame because the resort is lovely and the staff are nice but lack professionalism.Guest review bySarahFrance - 10.0
A Wonderful Beach Holiday.
A Wonderful Beach Holiday. Necessary structure: shops and cafes are available. The ability to pay with a bank card, as well as in cash (USD, MVR). Good exchange rate in all places. I was pleased with both Mathiveri and Mathiveri Finholu: the beaches are clean, the sand does not burn your feet, and there is a comfortable "coolness" in the shade of the trees.Guest review byRomanBangladesh - 8.0

You need maximum 3 days to complete all trips, any more than that would have to be someone who loves water sports as these are the main activities in this country, anyways. Bring a mosquito or any insect repellent, you will need these after a stroll on the shores or anywhere there are plants. Also have an anti-nausea pill if you are the seasick type. Taxis have a fixed price for each location, check that out. Alcohol in the resorts is expensive but then again that's all you got. Best to pay all meals or include dinner in your package as there are almost no restaurants outside, depending on the island, and if you find one it's either a chips or coffee spots.Guest review byYvetteSaudi Arabia - 10.0
Feridhoo is an island inhabited by locals.
Feridhoo is an island inhabited by locals. They are Muslims, so respect them and wear decent clothes when walking through the village. The island has 2 restaurants with good food and fair prices, one dive base (Noohiri) and one small shop next to Shifa Lodge. We came for diving and found an abundant maritime life. There are 2 beach areas, one at the east side with the best snorkeling ground, the other at north/west side with berths for relaxing.Guest review byErichAustria
