A lovely place: tranquility, views, beautiful sunset... Henry is the perfect host. It was nice talking to him and he made us an excellent meal.
We drove further to Sesriem the next day and it was a beautiful scenic route. This is the perfect place to relax between Windhoek and Sesriem.

We were late for reaching the camp that we originally booked near Sossusvlei and Capricorn Camp was a lifesaver.
Karsten responded quickly to our last-minute booking. He came and showed us around.
It was very nice to stay in this cozy place after a long journey.
There is a gas heater, warm blankets, place for making a fire, a spacious shower. Towels and bedding are provided.
And of course, countless stars above the property are just magical 🤩
In the morning, we had some issues with a tire compressor and Karsten and his helper were quick to come and offer help and advice.
Thank you once again Karsten!

The most amazing thing about this lodge is the location. The tented rooms are built on the crest of a dune, with a beautiful view over the desert and with enough privacy from the next tent. You have to drive a couple of kilometers on a sandy track to reach the room but it is totally doable even with a normal car. The bathroom is separated from the tent by a wooden bridge and very basic but that is part of the experience, it is a desert camp, after all! The temperature really dropped in the night but the lodge provided thick blankets so it was not cold to sleep. The staff were lovely, the food was good (you have to drive back to the reception for dinner and breakfast, or it is also possible to walk, if you fancy it). We only stayed one night and arrived quite late in the afternoon, so didn't have time to enjoy the pool or to try any of the activities that they offer.

Dinner and breakfast were excellent as well as the service. All staff very friendly and you could see the pride of them all working there.

After a long days drive we needed a peaceful, relaxing, good food, nice shower and friendly welcome. That’s exactly what we experienced plus the amazing sunset and sunrise the next day makes our stay so. I have more memorable. Thanks Henry
