- From £197.73 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 370 reviewsWe stayed here after a long day climbing in Jotunheimen NP, which is only about a 30-minute drive away. This unique hotel comprises a complex of beautiful, historic buildings within a stunning mountainous setting. You can see that a lot of effort has gone into the preservation of its history including maintaining original furnishings, the art and decor, and the historic items used there. We stayed in a restored schoolroom - it was cosy, clean and comfortable. We also really enjoyed bathing in a wooden tub! The toiletries were plentiful and lovely. We paid extra for the dinner and it was absolutely divine - fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. (They also kindly accommodated my pescetarian dietary preferences!). The breakfast was also plentiful, diverse and delicious - many of the breakfast items were handmade (including the pastries and jams!), which is so rare these days. After breakfast, you were encouraged to make sandwiches to take for your lunch which was very kind. The staff were very friendly and hospitable.Guest review byRoDenmark
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 47 reviewsThe hotel is stunningly situated. The suites at the hotel are beautiful with lots of local and historical details. The lounge area with large windows facing the valley is great for chilling out with a local beer in the evening. We only had a short stay but we’re spoilt for choice on the number of hikes from the hotel- they were all well sign posted and we got good advice from reception. Breakfast was in the lovely historic dining room and used local produce. The whole place is very friendly and full of character. Can’t wait to go back!Guest review byRobertSwitzerland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 144 reviewsThis is a fantastic location with some of the more interesting hiking and climbing routes in Norway, near the Jotunheimen Nasjonalpark. We choose the accomodation in the "Swiss chalet" and this allow us to save a lot of money :-) without losing the magnificence of the place and additional services provided by the hotel like for example the very good dinner (one of the best we have in Norway). The Chalet is really beautiful and extremely functional. Clean and full of services, like the shower and the drying room.Guest review byrodmcbanItaly
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 169 reviewsA beautiful location with splendid views. Staff ( 1 person, plus cook ??) was extremely informative and helpful. The beef we had at dinner was superb and tasted even better with the suggested Italian wine. The surrounding area was probably the favorite of our two Norway week trip, especially with the perfect weather we had. Splendid/Tusen takk- Jotunheimen FellstueGuest review byyokatCanada

Breakfast in the lovingly designed main-building with a lot of historic furniture was delicious. For dinner we used the well equipted kitchen in the basement.Guest review byMrPluckAustria

Beautiful location and stunning view.
Beautiful location and stunning view. Good kitchen facilities and barbecue. Well furnished. Gorgeous garden and green house. Lovely hosts. Pool could have been a couple of degrees warmer. The showers flooding the shower room was annoying. Not much hot water. But overall, a lovely stay. We would stay again.Guest review byZohreh Erica - 10.0
