We stayed at this hotel by accident, because the road to Bergen was closed. We were delighted with the beauty and coziness of the hotel! The view from the room is stunning - you can see the slope of the hills where people go skiing in winter. The room was spacious. I especially want to draw attention to the fact that the room has heating (not a fan coil, but a full-fledged water heating radiator), and at the end of June it was turned on! It was cool outside, so the room was very warm and cozy! This is simply top class! The breakfast is very varied and delicious! Again, you sit with a panoramic view and enjoy the food. Special thanks to the girl at the reception: she had a very stressful situation, many guests and calls, but she remained very friendly! This is worth a lot!

The location couldn’t have been better. A few minutes walk from the station and the gondola and a short stroll into the town. Lovely views of the lake outside the bedroom window. For breakfast, there was something to suit everyone’s taste. Plenty of areas around to sit and relax and the hotel offered luggage storage at no extra cost.

The hotel is located right next to the Vangsvatnet lake, and you could enjoy the breakfast with a beautiful view on the lake and mountains around. The breakfast itself was great, there was good variety of food (including the local specialties, e.g. berries or cheeses). I really liked the antique (in a good way) vibe of the hotel, it seemed that many of the rooms (the dining room, bar, resting rooms, etc.) had original (and very well maintained) furniture, paintings, etc. from the beginning of 20th century.

Very large and spacious room, huge bathroom, Free parking right next to the hotel, we paid for dinner - a buffet - the best meal we ever ate, a choice of many types of meat, the chef himself cut the meat for you, the best roasted vegetables I've ever eaten - this was the best idea! The view was fantastic - worth paying a little extra for. The breakfast was great and so was the buffet. definitely some of the best food I have had in Norway. The staff were very friendly and helpful, suggesting hikes in the area and telling stories about the history of the area and hotel.
