This is a beautiful peaceful location on the Otago Peninsula...
This is a beautiful peaceful location on the Otago Peninsula with lovely views, lots of wildlife nearby and stunning vistas from the high road above the village. Lara change Castle is about 15 minutes drive away with the Royal Albatross centre about 20 minutes down to the end of the peninsula. It you like serenity then you will like it here. If you are after the city life and party scene then I would not recommend.Guest review byDavidNew Zealand - 10.0
Portobello is a beautiful part of Dunedin, located on Octago...
Portobello is a beautiful part of Dunedin, located on Octago Peninsular, which is spectacular!! Right at the end of the peninsular is The Albatross Centre which is a must see, you will see these beautiful large birds nesting and flying around all year except October. There is also a penguin parade, Monarch cruises you get to see wildlife out at sea, Natures Wonderland to see sea lions and rare penguins. The beaches and walking trails are stunning. Dunedin City is great to visit with two great museums, botanical gardens, cafes and shopping. It's a fantastic small city. Bus 18 gets you into the City centre within 30 minutes from Porttobello. The locals all across are so friendly and helpful and the Uni Students make this City alive with good vibes. Dunedin is a jewel.Guest review byWest - 10.0
