Well worth the drive. Not for the faint hearted in places! 4WD required. Police checkpoint at base to check vehicles are roadworthy. It’s a very steep climb & decent. . Off road drives are challenging but the scenery is stunning. Bring snacks/water. Walking shoes. The Historical Al Sukar village is amazing. Challenging drive but worth it. Breakfast was good overall, but there are a few areas that could be improved. There was only one person making omelettes, which caused delays during busy times. Additionally, the croissants and pastries were not served warm, which is something I would expect at a 4-star hotel. Furthermore, we were disappointed to find out that the swimming pool was under maintenance for a month, and we were not informed prior to confirming our booking. It was close of one of the biggest shopping mall just 100 meters away .. all you need available in that mall .. There is Barka market .. mostly a groups of shop 10 kilometers a lond the road extend to the cost. The area was spectacularly beautiful. There are a number of well marked hikes as well as more extensive walks, via ferrata, abseiling and cave exploration that require guides.
