- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 217 reviewsThere really aren’t enough superlatives to describe our stay at Hotel Raiatea Lodge. Everyone on staff is delightful and goes out of their way to accommodate any requests. We stayed in room #8 in the main lodge. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and an incredible view from our balcony. The sunsets are spectacular every day. The food is outstanding and beautifully presented. We are vegetarian which the chef accommodated with delicious dishes every evening. The desserts are fantastic and the breakfast buffet is plentiful with freshly baked goods, delicious home made yogurts, cheeses, cold buts, fruit etc. The hotel offers a number of fabulous excursions through local operators which we took advantage of. They include being picked up and dropped off at the hotel which makes it all very convenient. The operators are paid directly in cash and there are several ATM’s in town so that wasn’t a problem. There is also great snorkeling right in front of the hotel. Kayaks are available to go to the Motu (15-20min.) which was a lot of fun. Car rental is also available right on site and charged directly to your room. Cars have a manual transmission and all in great shape. We rented one to drive around the island which was fun. Overall our stay at Hotel Raiatea Lodge exceeded our expectations and we will definitely return.Guest review byPeggyUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 378 reviewsThe staff is so incredibly friendly and my stay was a real pure Tahitian experience. Raiatea is totally different from Papete - it is the real Tahiti, I was stunned by the nature and by the wonderful people of that island. Raiatea was my personal favourite island of all Tahitian islands because it was still very authentic and the flora and fauna was stunning! A lot to see also because it is the birthplace of the Polynesian cultures why I think I is a must see in any way. You could basically pick any fruits you wish in the garden around the lodge. Starfruits, Coconuts and other tropical delights were all growing around you and you can self pick them. The lodge was located near river and a 10 minutes drive to the city. There were also some bikes one could use. They were a bit old, but enough to explore the surroundings with ! Car is the best to explore the island. Loved the location right in the middle of nature, it was a real pure Tahitian experience! Thank you so much !Guest review byRaissaGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 148 reviewsBaptiste and his mother were amazing hosts we felt right at home right away. Their home is so clean and beautiful setting. It was so relaxing and we had a later pick up and rhey let us stay to lounge around for the day. Very nice. There was a great market only a few minutes away to pick up some groceries and a fabulous gourmet restaurant also within walking distance. But most of all they are really really great hosts. Right from the start of booking Baptiste helped me with questions about evrry little thing i was worried about for our stay on the island and our connections. He arranged our airport transfer and our transfer to our next destination. It was first class service.Guest review byTERESACanada
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 170 reviewsThis was an excellent find. We needed to make a last minute reservation and they were very accommodating for our group of 9. Although it is a little out of the way, and you really need a car to get there, it was a beautiful spot and the staff was exceptional.Guest review byHettieUnited States

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 60 reviewsThe setting was fabulous! And the owner was beyond helpful. The only drawback was the distance from the main town. The lovely view, proximity to a hiking trail and UNESCO site made up for that.Guest review byPattiCanada

I loved how chill and beautiful Uturoa is.
I loved how chill and beautiful Uturoa is. I rented a car and drove around to see the sites and did a lagoon tour, and I felt like between those things and exploring the small town, it was enough for me. I could've always done another tour or hiking, too.Guest review bySarahUnited States - 10.0
Very nice people, friendly, helpful, smiling.
Very nice people, friendly, helpful, smiling. Small town, easy to find your way. Laid back and easy going. No stress. Beautiful lagoons, vivid colors, fantastic sunsets. Fun to walk through the little town and get a feeling of the place. Great little shop on the waterfront, it's a little French pastry shop called BonApetahi, many yummy delicious pastries made by someone who is very well versed in French baking and using the local aromas to make a delightful union of deliousness.Guest review byLynMariteFrench Polynesia - 10.0
