You'll have your private sunrise as soon as you open the door. It's like a ferry tale. The resort is surrounded by a wonderful tropical garden and has in front the greatest ocean. No beach, but with a little care, you can swim nonetheless. The owner was very helpful in solving my air conditioner problem (even from Japan, THANK YOU), as well as Michelle and Melody, which were just great. I thank them all for being so friendly and helpful. I came with Manila vibes and left with Phillipines vibes because there are indeed 2 countries, there is Manila, and there are The Phillipines. Very good, helpful, and kind people live in The Phillipines. Wonderful scuba diving near the resort, Dive Dao. The dive boat crew was good and caring too. Though we couldn't go to Verde Island due to the weather, they arranged a one-on-one dive at the Canyons, which was the most remarkable dive there for us. Obviously, sitting around good dive sites also contributed to our enjoyable experience in this resort. Room was well-equipped, clean, and spacious. There are basically two distinct parts of Puerto Galera…..
There are basically two distinct parts of Puerto Galera…..Sabang which has no beach but is a very pretty ocean side area, a lot of dive resorts and diving schools and enough restaurants and night clubs. White Beach is the other resort…..more restaurants, more tourist shopping options, a lovely beach and beach activity and water sport options. Puerto Galera is a small town in the North of Mindoro.
Puerto Galera is a small town in the North of Mindoro. There are a few spots to visit not too far away : the Mangyan Village next to Amani beach, a few water falls such as Tamaraw Falls along the road to Calipan and further south the Tukuran Falls (last part of the trip is done on cart pulled by a carabao) and the Infinity Farm. It is also worth to visit the Puerto Galera Mangrove Conservation. White beach with lots of amusements (jet ski, banana boat, island hopping, etc) and lots of restaurant along the beach.Guest review bySchindousPhilippines
