Lousã is a wonderful place for nature lovers. It has great trails for various the experienced as well as the less experienced hiker. Lots of streams and beautiful spots as well as breathtaking views to take in. The town itself is very quiet. There is a large Saturday market with a lot of variety. The hilly countryside is gorgeous and features Sao Simao River Beach for swimming and hiking. Well we enjoyed Vila do Rei because it was calm, small pace, friendly people and great for walks in nature. I recomend the Centro Geodesico and the river beach of Penedo Furado are a must visit.
