- From £346.55 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 473 reviewsPeople are very nice and helpful. We arrived in the middle of the night (around 03:45) due to flight trouble and they left us instructions for pick-up of keys. We really appreciated the offered solutions. Thanks Ernani. Our luggage arrived 2 days later and they received them on our absence. Perfect! There are around 10 or 12 small bungalows, arranged internally like apartments, with terraces and outrageous views over the valley. There are modern kitchen equipment, with induction hearth, stove, dish washer and also some pans. If you are a cook you will miss some pans and additional equipment like mixers, but for usual cooking it is sufficient. There is a heated internal pool, very nice as we stayed 5 days in autumn and had a lot of rain, wind and low temperatures. Head caps are required and can be bought on reception for 4 € each. We had our breakfast included. During the days where there were enough guests, rich and varied options were available. As people got reduced, they asked us at night before to choose food from a menu. No desperdice. Perfect! We didn't eat at restaurant, but it smelled very well during the initial days and they offer some nice combinations at a relatively high price level (this seems to be inherent to the region), but we are not really enabled to evaluate this point. Rooms were clean on arrival. In bathroom there is a heating device which allows hanging and drying of bath towels. Very nice as this small detail is often neglected at hotels. As the bungalows are placed on a steep hill, it is adequate more for a bit sporty people. Access by road is also steep but asphalted and reachable by standard vehicles. We are planning to return to Peneda-Gerês (under better weather conditions) and would certainly consider to stay at Pousadela again.Guest review byJames Tiberius KirkGermany

It was located in the perfect spot, with parking and free access to the park where the pools are located. The rooms were spotless, very comfortable, and had a truly luxurious feel. We stayed for two nights but wish we could have stayed longer. The beds were super comfortable with great pillows as well. Best sleep I've had in Portugal so far. The breakfast was really great with lots of variety at the buffet. Staff were very friendly, and we enjoyed our stay very much.Guest review byTanyaCanada

Considering we stayed one month, it wasnt long enough. if you love unrestricted access to mountains, waterfalls, the fauna in northern Portugal. the genuine friendliness of the people, and the food, Gee Wizz , come and enjoy what they have on offer, an example of the local people, we were climbing a steep road at the foot of a mountain near Ermal, and passed by a man cutting brush, once he realised what we were attempting, he gave us armfulls of fruit from his house, Kiwis, Apples, and Oranges, Just smashing, what a lovely guy.Guest review bymichael - 10.0
It a lovely town have a chilled vibe.
It a lovely town have a chilled vibe. It is is easy to walk and finding parking wasn't too bad either. It's a good place to base yourself if you have a car as there are many good attractions not far by car. There are loads of good restaurants. There are a few scenic things to see such as the bridge, the water clock, some murals and a lovely boardwalk along the river. Don't miss the science centre (Centro Ciência Viva). They have a lovely river beach and awesome municipal pool. I have also attended the medieval market and reenactment of a historical battle (recriação histórica do recontro de Valdevez) at the Castle (Paço de Giela) - that was pretty cool. At Christmas time, be sure to go see the enchanted forrest (floresta encantada).Guest review byal_ice_sPortugal - 10.0

Os Poetas is located on the same street as an amazing restaurant: "Crónicas da Vila". The two, the hotel and the restaurant, constituted the best welcome I could have had after a long bike ride from Ponte de Lima.Guest review byNunoPortugal - 10.0

The trail to the castle is pretty nice to do, and the views on top are great. The multiple restaurants offer the same type of food but still very good. Melgaço is pretty close by, as is the Peneda Gerês Park. Walking around the town is calm and relaxing as it's a pretty small villageGuest review byBruno SilvaPortugal - 6.0

Nice and Cultural rich city but seems to be crowded with tourists and not so quiet anymore. You can get excellent food at "Trancoso" or "Avenida" restaurants. Near Gerês so you can drive and visit but again expect a lot of traffic due to tourists (in August, at least).Guest review byLuisPortugal - 10.0

Gerês is a beautiful National Park. Impressive nature, with plenty of hiking trails that are very diverse in nature, from the arid mountaintops to the waterfalls along the several streams that flow through the park. Culturally, Gerês also has a lot to offer.Guest review byMartaNetherlands - 10.0

Arcos de Valdevez is a very clean and well-kept town — a true pleasure to visit. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, with charming streets and beautiful surroundings. Not all restaurants accept credit cards, but ATMs are available and easy to find. A lovely place for a relaxed stroll, good food, and exploring the local culture. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area!Guest review byKuzeykoUnited States - 10.0
I have nothing negative to say about our stay.
I have nothing negative to say about our stay. It exceeded all expectations and set a high bar for our accommodation expectations for continued travel. Sonia and Antonio were incredible hosts and I highly recommend Just Natur Guesthouse for anyone visiting the area. We enjoyed every side trip outside the village and each was within easy reach. It was surprising to see at least 5 restaurants in the village.Guest review byShane - 4.0
It's boring and overcrowded.
It's boring and overcrowded. The small river beaches are full of people, there are only couple small supermarkets. We tried two pizza place and the pizza was bad in both of them. The termas park is very small and it took 1,5 hours to explore it. I think this place is overestimated if only you are not a fan of balneotherapy.Guest review byAlenaPortugal
