Very relaxing locality. The first time we've slept well after 3 weeks of traveling. Gorgeous wee town and very close to fantastic Peles castle. Make sure you buy your tickets online well in advance. It's not open every day.

    We were really pleased with our stay at the Pensiunea boema as it is a very nice hotel, modern and with all the facilities needed. It is ideally situated for visiting the many sights in sinaia as it is just round the corner from the station and the hop on/off on busses. The staff for with mary are very good, especially the Reception staff who were very friendly and helpful.

    Sinaia is a charming city, worth for a medium long stay. It offers history, culture, as well as great culinary experiences. Make sure you include a visit to Peles Castle. If you like hiking, walk to Poiana Stanii and have a picnic there. Take the cable car and go up, where you can admire the breathtaking landscape that lays at your feet. On the main street, in the center you will find a very small bakery offering the best langos (cheese pie) in town.

    Bușteni really is a gem in the Prahova Valley.

    Bușteni really is a gem in the Prahova Valley. Its relatively flat layout compared to nearby towns like Sinaia or Azuga does make it more walkable, especially for longer strolls without steep climbs. Being right at the foot of the Caraiman Peak with the Bucegi Mountains towering around gives it that dramatic, postcard-perfect backdrop. It's no wonder the town has become a favourite for both hikers and casual visitors alike. If you're up for it, the hike or cable car up to the Heroes’ Cross on Caraiman is well worth the effort—stunning views from up there.

    Good to visit during ski season. Little to do outside of it. Not to mention the access from Bucharest and even Brasov. Awful traffic all thorough the year. Many hours spent is a standstill queue. Other much better alternatives available.

    From the bottom to the Peles is our preferred walk in Sinaia as well as the park, the one is yet clean. All small roads around Sinaia to the hill are crowded with cars parked, a solution not appropriate for some people traveling with cars. From my opinion Sinaia is at high level of interest for tourists, with wonderful landscape and architecture, including Peles castle. It Is my preferred place in Romania.

    If you're visiting to go see the mountains this is a great place. If you're looking for a city to walk through and do stuff in, it's almost useless. You can find good food, sure. But nothing to do in the city, per say. The attraction comes from the amazing mountain routes.

    Azuga is a very quiet resort that is currently in a touristic restoration/rebirth period. At the moment Azuga is not that known and it a lot less busy than Busteni/Predeal/Sinaia. But this tourist city offers a lot of sports-related attractions, cycling (both XC and downhill), hiking, walking outside, ATVs, Motorcycles, skiing in the winter, and others. The trails are not as known as the others but they offer stunning views of the neighboring mountains with easy hikes.

    The purpose of my vacation was to ski.

    The purpose of my vacation was to ski. For March, it is an ideal place. The Sinaia ski area includes about 25 ski slopes, which total over 25 km of slopes. In March, the slopes on the plateau are functional, totaling about 15 km of slopes. For dining, I recommend the following restaurants: La Roq, the restaurant of the Sinaia Hotel, the Imperfect restaurant, located in the Sinaia Gondola complex (departure), Taverna Sarbului, Tirol Restaurant, inside the International Hotel, Riegler Restaurant.

    It looked like an abandoned city, unfortunately. You can go to Sorica and take the Gondola that takes you to the mountain plateau. Very beautiful views from there and you can see Bucegi mountains or hike at Baiului Mountains. We loved the food at Casa Azugeana.
