- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 71 reviewsA very nice and helpful host. Probably the oldest house in the village, beautifully renovated, with many old artifacts (tools, photos, piece of clothing, shoes). We got a very large room, nicely furnished with old and new wooden furniture, a comfortable bed. A large, modern bathroom (bath tube and shower), with some old-style accents. A shared kitchen and a dining room are on the lower floor. You can also have your meal outside - there are some tables and chairs in a nice, quiet corner (expect some cats to visit you). The kitchen is well-equipped. You can prepare food there but there is also a nice, inexpensive restaurant 100m from the house (the grocery store is 50m away). No TV, no radio (what, actually, I appreciated) but a reliable Wi-Fi connection. Since it was really hot (30-35C), I was initially uneasy because of the lack of A/C. However, it turned out that the old house can keep a reasonably low temperature for most of the day. The village is not crowded with tourists. There are a few easier trekking paths one can take from there. You can easily (by car, by bus) reach mountain trails of any level of difficulty and length (e.g., starting from neighbouring villages or from Logarska Dolina).Guest review byMaciejPoland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 107 reviewsWe liked everything here. The house is in a perfect location, there's no traffic, there's almost no tourism around, no crowds, no noise. We wanted to relax and disconnect from the everydays and the pressure of the ever-flowing news and information, and we could exactly do that here - no cell phone reception, no internet, just nature, birdsong and fresh air. The apartment itself is very pretty, very clean and comfortable. The kitchen had all that is needed for simple cooking. The views from the windows are lovely. Communication with Amalija (who is a perfect host and a very-very kind person) was smooth and she described everything we needed to know ahead of arrival.Guest review byAgnesHungary
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 10.0Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 8 reviewsIt was a great stay! We are extremely satisfied with our choice: an incredible area, very picturesque views, wonderful hosts, it was comfortable and pleasant to stay there. The territory is secluded - you are left alone with nature) We also enjoyed the hot tub and sauna in the evening. Be sure to order local dairy products through the owners - they are extremely tasty. Highly recommend this chalet.Guest review byJarynaUkraine
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 270 reviewsNice and comfortable, basic but very clean studio with all we needed during our bike packing trip, including laundry service. Very comfortable bed, basic kitchen but equipped with everything one might need to prepare a simple and healthy dinner and breakfast. Short walk from the shop. Very friendly owner. Would highly recommend.Guest review byEwaIreland
- From £171.43 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 110 reviewsSome of the best overall travel experiences I’ve had. The views are amazing (be advised to book a balcony room overlooking Logar Valley). The staff, aka the three generations of the family living there and running the place, are just lovely and prepared us some delicious food. If I could I’d come back anytime.Guest review byHansSweden

Very spacious room and wonderful view. Hiring e-bikes from Rinka Centre and cycling panoramic road plus Logar Valley made a fantastic day. You do need to book ahead as they have limited bikes.Guest review byAnneUnited Kingdom

Great walks up the three valleys that are close bye.
Great walks up the three valleys that are close bye. We had coffee in the information centre in Solcava - staff were excellent. Did the scenic road looking down over the valleys - well worth the drive up and down.Guest review byDesUnited Kingdom - 6.0
The area is beautiful and hiking and biking is great.
The area is beautiful and hiking and biking is great. The grocery stores are severly lacking on fresh proteins. We cook alot and didn't like having to purchase plastic coated packaged meats. A decent butcher and pharmacy were at least 30 minutes away.Guest review byMary JoUnited States - 10.0

An excellent location for outdoor activities, especially hiking and cycling. The nature here is really beautiful and we visited this region several times. It also has several really nice restaurants with local specialties and organic food. This time we cycled to Pavličevo sedlo and along the panoramic road and went on a hike towards Matkov škaf. Last time we hiked to ancient cave Potočka zijalka and Ostrica mountain. We ate at the Majerhold mountain lodge below Pavličev sedlo, at the Žibovt farm by the panoramic road, and at the Ojstrica restaurant in the Logarska dolina. Everyone is very friendly. A bike or electric bike that can be rented is the most convenient means of transportation here.Guest review byMojcaSlovenia - 10.0

Solcava was a beautiful village, very close to Logar Valley.
Solcava was a beautiful village, very close to Logar Valley. The views are spectacular! The air is so fresh and crisp. It is very soothing for the soul. We hiked to Slap Rinka and drove the Panoramic Road. We would have liked to have more time for hiking and exploring. The only downside would be lack of restaurants. We were there in May, so I'm not sure if there may be more options in high season but we had a difficult time finding a place for dinner. The place we ended up was in Luce, Gostlina PR Lampi. The food was very good traditional Slovenian food and excellent wine. Our waiter had a wonderful personality and was a joy to visit with.Guest review byElaineUnited States
