After which you can return and truly relax with just the noise of the waves gently lapping on the beach. Food is very good with a selection of western dishes as well as many exciting Thai choices. But ultimately The Bhuvarin resort is made special by the team that works there. They really have got it right. I can't describe exactly what I mean but there's no mistaking their true wish to give you a holiday from everyday life. I know they are 'doing their job' but the smiles and wishes are real. In summary if you want a beautiful piece of paradise with close options for more active pursuit then The Bhuvarin resort is the perfect place to stay. There were sockets in the right places, a place to put your luggage up, a beautiful bathroom and just a generally nice room. On a quiet, good beach, only the beach villas have their own sun loungers on the beach, so an almost private beach in an otherwise busy area. It was nice to lie down in the villa's terrace lounge area for days and sometimes take a dip in the sea. The villa was new and modern, clean. Koh Chang is a lovely island for holiday. Roads are trecherous to drive, but the views are stunning. Beachfront resort with a nice pool, you have all you need! A wonderful stretch of beach, one of the nicest on Koh Chang to be fair. Nice and clean, quiet and peaceful. I stayed a 5 min bike ride away at the reggae place. A nice tropical island with white sand beaches, beautifull mountains, waterfalls and rainforests. Very civilized - plenty of shops, bars and restaurants for all kinds of foods and wallet thicknesses. Probably what most of Thailand was like 25 years ago - limited beach front developments and no ugly high rise. Plenty of local places close to the hotel to go out to and eat. Not too busy at time of visit as coming into the low season.
