Nan is an interesting town...
Nan is an interesting town... There are lots of temples and history from when it was a kingdom. I was visiting during the low season, but during my 10-day visit, I could see something every day. Pua has several nice restaurants. At Wat Mongkol there is a good marketcwith enough choices of cooked food. Also Wat Phuket is not far away and both temple are worth a visit. In season the green racefiets are magnificent. People are friendly if you are, and the area is an oasis of tranquility! My first trip to Nan and in fact Thailand. Absolutely incredible experience. Obvious areas were food, scenery in particular the mountain scenes. The people of Nan were welcoming and very hospitable indeed...and came across as very genuine. The culture and temples were amazing...visited many temples in Nan and also in Chiang Rai..
