- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 352 reviewsThis hotel is fantastic. I have read many average reviews before going there and was prepared for some inconvenience but surprisingly everything went great, way beyond my expectations. First, even if one staff member doesn't speak English, there is always someone near who does. Breakfast was good (I ordered eggs benedict. Come one, who wrote the review that they have only Thai food! Nonsense). In the dinner menu you will also find both Thai and western options like grilled salmon or pork chop. They are not that expensive. Let's remember folks where are we staying. It is a floating hotel! You won't get food for the price of a skewer from the Thai night market obviously. Worth to consider buying a voucher (sold either on the pier or in the restaurant) i.e. buy for 2000TH, you'll get 2500THB to use in a hotel restaurant and some activities (sorry don't remember which ones, used that for drinks haha!). You also get 30mins per person free wifi, which is possible to pause and not use in one shot. I haven't used it and enjoyed the scenery around me though. And this is why we are coming there, aren't we? The amazing views and closeness to nature. You can enjoy free kayaking, swimming pool in the lake (how crazy is that?!), and of course the lake itself. Hotel offers you to take private boat from them (4000THB both ways). Take it! My wife was hesitant, if there is a chance to stop for the toilet during the tour. There is! Just ask the guys on the pier and speak with the boat driver. In the middle of the journey there is rangers station (Nang Prai Raft House on google maps). No problem to stop there, no extra payment. Nice people everywhere. Boat from the hotel takes you on the way there to the most beautiful places of the park. It's basically a tour. We got there from Krabi (paid 2500THB for old smelly corolla taxi) and went after to Phuket (3000THB for clean Iveco SUV).Guest review byKamilPoland
- From £429.76 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 339 reviewsConvenient location close to airport yet serene and quiet setting. Facilities well blended with the natural setting of the hill slope. Excellent beach with no outsiders. Exclusive resort with just 60+ villas such that staff are able to call you by your name. Staff are friendly. Nice to use apps to chat with staff and make reservations and requests so you wouldn’t be disturbed when you don’t want to. I have an extremely pleasant stay with Six Senses Samui.Guest review byVincentHong Kong
- From £135.82 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 2,296 reviewsThe resort is incredibile. Everything is like a work of art from wood, even the shuttles inside the resort. The check in and the staff were very efficient and good. The rooms have everything from good wifi, smart TV, amazing view, private pool and bath in the balcony. They have also beautiful beach and pools with incredible view. The food also was very good, breakfast and the restaurants in the hotel. You don't need to leave the resort.Guest review byYuvalIsrael
- From £29.80 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.7Good - What previous guests thought, 393 reviewsLovely place about a 10-minute walk to Central Samui, we have to say, the staff was amazing and friendly, they couldn't do enough for us and we are very grateful, we stayed for 1 night as we were traveling around Thailand and this was our final night in Koi Samui and we fell in love with the island. Thank you to all the staff at Nova Samui and we wish you all the best for the future. Love Owen and JayneGuest review byOwenUnited Kingdom
- From £126.06 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 298 reviewsThe staff at this hotel were absolutely wonderful. When I wasn’t feeling well and even collapsed, they all took care of me with such kindness and attention. I’ve actually been staying here to focus on writing my manuscript, so I spent most of my time holed up in my room. But thanks to everyone’s incredible support, I was able to work comfortably and peacefully. I’m truly grateful. Thank you so much.Guest review byMichikoJapan

Koh Tao is still one of the few raw escapes in Thailand in my opinion, its divers and back packers heaven. However as a father with 2 kids in my forties i absolutely loved it. If you step away from the busy areas and off the beaten track you can find amazing coves and hiden gems still. The tourism all over the world has killed so much of our wildlife and reefs. The locals are definitely trying to do all they can to save it. Brilliant food, amazing views and a fun island.Guest review byDominicUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Chaweng is a beautiful destination for a chill out holiday
Chaweng is a beautiful destination for a chill out holiday The Jungle Tour is definitely worth doing & don't be afraid to barter the price Lots of eateries with great selection of food to choose from Fishermans Market is very pretty at night & there are bargains to be had If you hire a car or scooter - by careful if you like to dabble in the Green because the Police will pull you over & you will get a hefty fine - not worth it - grab a taxi or the local rides (which are cheap)Guest review byRuth WalkerUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The first two times we visited Koh Samui we stayed in Bophut near Fisherman's Village. After exploring the island a little more, we came to the conclusion that Lamai was the area we preferred, The beaches were better and sandy compared to Bophut which was more of a slush/muddy fell underfoot. Chaweng was a little too much for us, however, Lamai was just right.Guest review byRebeccaAustralia - 8.0
The park is huge and amazing! So much to do and see.
The park is huge and amazing! So much to do and see. What I didn’t like was the entry sign with the discriminatory fees listed. In English, “ Foreigners 200 baht “, then, written in Thai, “ Thai citizens 40 baht “.Guest review byMarkUnited States - 6.0
Not the nicest part of island.
Not the nicest part of island. Geared towards full moon party, laughing gas and fire shows. Quiet when not full moon in a nice way but the town is run down. Haad Rin beach is beautiful though. Saw quite a few families which was nice. Rented our bike from here and explored the island for a few days. Road between Haad Rin and Thong Sala and everywhere else on the East/West of the island is very steep hills to ride by bike.Guest review bySarahUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Love the coastal areas & the variety of beaches in Mae Nam as well as the differing local food cultures. I especially liked the relaxed beach at Baan Fah Resort where the water was deep enough to swim just a short distance from the shore - a truly great beach. The best coffee house in Samui has to be Hachiya Coffee Roastery. And I highly recommend G- Bike Rentals.Guest review byAlanNew Zealand - 10.0
The Fisherman's Village was fantastic.
The Fisherman's Village was fantastic. No car or scooter access at night made for lovely walks along the street, seeing the markets and bars and restaurants in relative peace. Plus none of the typical sleazy Thai bars/clubs.Guest review byChrisAustralia - 8.0
I choose to stay in Bann Tai for its central location.
I choose to stay in Bann Tai for its central location. There are much nicer locations on the island to stay, however if you are like me, and like to explore, then this location is best as its in the middle of the coast line, and its close to central heart road ways that take you to any part of the island quickly.Guest review byMarkAustralia - 4.0

We were planning on 2 nights but changed plans and left after 1 as there is nothing to do on the town but look at shops. One temple to visit if wanted. Wish we hadn’t stayed the one night! Ok for a transfer through to the islands but nothing more in our opinion. Our taxi took us to the wrong ferry office which was annoying and no one really helped us find the correct one, thankfully we made it in time.Guest review byKimUnited Kingdom - 8.0
