Upon arrival, we were greeted by the warm smiles of the staff, setting a welcoming tone for our entire stay. Our journey from the ferry terminal to the resort, facilitated by a private transfer service, was smooth and well-organized, taking only 45 minutes. Throughout our stay, the culinary experience was a highlight. The buffet-style meals offered a variety of options, allowing us to indulge in both international and Tanzanian cuisine. Each day brought new programs and activities for guests to enjoy, including enlightening Maasai dances that provided insight into their rich culture and traditions. In the evenings there were traditional dance performances. Massai too! The resort's beachfront location was simply soothing, perfect relaxation. The all-inclusive package had variety of drinks and cocktails to enjoy. Additionally, the attentive staff made sure to inquire about our comfort during daily housekeeping, even offering mosquito control services in the evenings. For those seeking adventure, the resort provided a range of tourist programs, from snorkeling excursions to island trips and boat rides, with options to suit everyone. What stood out was the staff's friendly and informative approach, never being pushy but always eager to share insights and assist with arrangements. Moreover, the resort boasted amenities such as a gym and spa, adding to the overall experience of relaxation and rejuvenation. The experience at the Zanzibar Bay Resort was nothing short of fantastic. The combination of excellent service, diverse activities, and serene surroundings made for an unforgettable stay. The attention to detail is excellent and the personalised little touches are an extra treat. They just made our stay unforgettable. Especially Hashim and Glory, who we will miss very much and must come back and visit! It’s a beautiful hotel in luscious tropical gardens that feels secluded and private at the same time as well connected with other places nearby to visit and other hotels and restaurants along the beautiful white sandy beach. The pool is wonderful and always immaculately clean with beautiful views of the ocean. The food was also excellent! The best in the area for sure so no need to eat anywhere else. The chef included delicious veggie options every day on the menu of the day so I never ate the same thing twice! The rooms are large, comfortable well appointed. The meals were plentiful, varied and delicious with lots of vegetarian options. The staff are friendly, and go over and above to ensure guests every need are meet. The beach felt safe and clean and we did not see any sea urchins. Michamvi is good for relaxing and enjoying . There are few vendors and they are not disturbing you and friendly. We stayed 25 days at Kikoi Boutique Resort and arranged all excursions on Zanzibar as well as a Safari with Sir Alex at Kikoi for reasonable prices and with good service . Their Cook Mister Mahaveer Sing is a real Master Chef and we enjoyed every meal he prepared us . Compliments to all the people working there. You made our stay unfogettable. Please remember that Marumbi is a Village in a poor third world country and therefore there is very little to do. A few local shops. A couple of local Restaurants (We loved Bustani), no bars and a hotel that doesn’t welcome outsiders. beautiful beach!!!! However not the best beach for bathing because when is lower tide you simply have to walk to much for a swim. beach in the north are better if you have kids. the welcoming commetee was amazing. They made us feel at home. Checking in was a breeze and the pool bar staff was so helpful and friendly. I loved the music by the pool area,it was inclusive to all nations. Tha food was amazing the whole experience was great. I was there to celebrate my birthday and they made it extra special. From the decoration in my room,to the suprise cake and singing.i had a good time. This area has less tourism than some other areas in Zanzi bar, it has what you need, different restaurangs, a super market, beachbar and so on. There is not so many other tourists here so you feel like its really a part of an small island. If you are looking for highend dining and alot of shopping then i advise you to look for another area or do as we did - get a car or a taxi its ok priced for a full day. The traffic was really suprising - its was better then most so called modern countries - slow, keeping distance -respecting each other - we rented a car for 3 days and it was super nice. We payed 30usd/day + 10usd for the local driving license - dont drive to fast or drunk - the police are really on there toes - and mind the big roadbumps... Its a remote beach far away from the airport, it took me 1:30 hours to reach, and with a late flight u reach a gost city, no place to buy a sim card, to exchaeg money, taxi drivers are like sharks, the road is narrow, not lit, not fully paved, my old taxi driver did an accident, the beaches are amazing, great white sands, cool lovely waters, but tides are very low and high over the same day. 50 meters away from the beach and you are out of the paradise into a nondeveloped village, prices are as high as euorpe and the service quality is almost nil.Guest review byKhaledEgypt
