Everything was incredible. From The welcoming staff who fetched us at the airport, to the amazing owner and his lovely wife, the cleaning staff, restaurant staff, security, and grounds staff were all simply amazing.     I had the pleasure of staying at the Blue Oyster, a true oasis in Jambiani. Despite visiting during the off-season when other hotels were more or less closed, the Blue Oyster was thriving with a full house. The entire staff at the hotel provided exemplary hospitality, offering friendly and helpful service. With various room types available, I stayed in room No.19 located towards the back of the property. Despite its location, the refreshing sea breeze was always present, and the room offered partial views of the sea as well as a serene outlook over the central park. The food was of good quality and plentiful, and the level of cleanliness throughout the hotel was impressive. Any requests or needs were promptly attended to by the accommodating reception staff and other employees. The hotel provides an enough number of sunbeds, situated on an elevated place to minimize interruptions from beach vendors, ensuring a peaceful vacation experience. Additionally, the hotel prides itself on maintaining beach cleanliness by cleaning the trash from the beach that was brought by the tide every morning, and they encourage all guests to act sustainably and ecologically. Keep in mind, if you want to swim in the ocean that the beach in front of the hotel is subject to high tidal changes. Overall, I highly recommend the Blue Oyster for a tranquil stay in Jambiani.

    The place was exquisite from the time you get in until you leave. The staff are very happy to have you, they'll smile at you, greet you, offer help even beyond what's paid for. The food is amazing; a buffet breakfast, expert cooked a la carte menu, 5 course dinner, amazing cocktails and all of them made ready in time. There are small pools infront of every room for a chill dip, the pools at Isaraya water villas are a little bigger, the place is cozy and the views are breathtaking. The main infinity pool perfectly overlooks the clean white sandy beach at the clear blue ocean waterfront. There is nothing bad to write about this place. Honestly!

    Beautiful, medium sized, resort that is perfect for quiet rest and relaxation on Zanzibar. Great situation for stunning beach, two different restaurants and excursions to Stone Town, Paje and Nungwi. Hosts an onsite spa which was terrific, pool with loungers and parasols, and the beach is spectacular with several cabana style shades for two. Every member of staff is positive, engaging and respectful. Enjoyed the vibes at dinner which was themed every night providing entertainment including local cultural performances and displays.

    Everyone was super helpful and treated us very well. We were welcomed very Well by MR Said from guest relations. We felt heard and listened to and felt the staff cared about our experience. They have these stairs at the jetty which highlighted our whole trip there coz it was just so easy to sit by the ocean and chill without being scared . The photos do no justice to this place . It’s above and beyond anything we have been to and we have been to some big 5stars in Zanzibar

When they found out we were there to celebrate a birthday, they decorated the room, welcomed us with a special greeting and brought cake!     We had a lovely, 4 night stay at Fun Beach Hotel. The staff was extremely nice, the food was amazing, the location is just perfect, Jambiani is walkable, Paje is 5 minutes by car. The beach is beautiful, safe and clean, the pool areas are comfortable and spacious. We loved Rachel and her amazing smile:) Kisses from Hungary.

    Jerry is a wonderful Location next to the beach. We stayed there for 4 days and enjoyed it The staff was very helpful and supportive. The rooms are nice and clean. And Jambiani is a nice and quiet place to stay. Next time I would go there again.

    Michamvi is good for relaxing and enjoying . There are few vendors and they are not disturbing you and friendly. We stayed 25 days at Kikoi Boutique Resort and arranged all excursions on Zanzibar as well as a Safari with Sir Alex at Kikoi for reasonable prices and with good service . Their Cook Mister Mahaveer Sing is a real Master Chef and we enjoyed every meal he prepared us . Compliments to all the people working there. You made our stay unfogettable. Greetings Paula& Johannes from The Netherlands . We are looking forward to come back again .

    The resort was clean and had the island atmosphere. Food was good and a variety to choose wwwith different restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Just a reminnder that you will pay extra at the airport for insurance fees and also extra tax fees at the hotel if its not included in your original price.

    What we like most about pongwe is about the safety and quietness of the place ,very peaceful and calm, what we didn't like it's just the beach that's why we didn't get to go there,we liked more of kendwa though it's far from pongwe

    Please remember that Marumbi is a Village in a poor third...

    Please remember that Marumbi is a Village in a poor third world country and therefore there is very little to do. A few local shops. A couple of local Restaurants (We loved Bustani), no bars and a hotel that doesn’t welcome outsiders. If you are looking for nightlife it’s probably not for you.

    beautiful beach!!!!

    beautiful beach!!!! However not the best beach for bathing because when is lower tide you simply have to walk to much for a swim. beach in the north are better if you have kids. Much more quiet than Page and less windy as well. Very safe neighborhood with nice restaurants.

    the welcoming commetee was amazing. They made us feel at home. Checking in was a breeze and the pool bar staff was so helpful and friendly. I loved the music by the pool area,it was inclusive to all nations. Tha food was amazing the whole experience was great. I was there to celebrate my birthday and they made it extra special. From the decoration in my room,to the suprise cake and singing.i had a good time. The rock resturant is less than 5min away, we wemt there using the free bicycle offered at the hotel.

    This area has less tourism than some other areas in Zanzi...

    This area has less tourism than some other areas in Zanzi bar, it has what you need, different restaurangs, a super market, beachbar and so on. There is not so many other tourists here so you feel like its really a part of an small island. If you are looking for highend dining and alot of shopping then i advise you to look for another area or do as we did - get a car or a taxi its ok priced for a full day. The traffic was really suprising - its was better then most so called modern countries - slow, keeping distance -respecting each other - we rented a car for 3 days and it was super nice. We payed 30usd/day + 10usd for the local driving license - dont drive to fast or drunk - the police are really on there toes - and mind the big roadbumps... We ate a lot of lobster and fish - always fresh - never dissapointed, we also ate alot of vegetarian food - its everywere great dishes.

    Pongwe Beach Hotel is a perfect place to stay for a relaxing...

    Pongwe Beach Hotel is a perfect place to stay for a relaxing vacation. The staff is friendly and helpful. The beach and grounds are beautiful and well maintained . We love that it peaceful and quiet with no loud music or jet skis. We enjoyed the program put on by the hotel staff that included the guests.

    Its a remote beach far away from the airport, it took me 1:30 hours to reach, and with a late flight u reach a gost city, no place to buy a sim card, to exchaeg money, taxi drivers are like sharks, the road is narrow, not lit, not fully paved, my old taxi driver did an accident, the beaches are amazing, great white sands, cool lovely waters, but tides are very low and high over the same day. 50 meters away from the beach and you are out of the paradise into a nondeveloped village, prices are as high as euorpe and the service quality is almost nil.
