I had the pleasure of staying at The Oasis Residence in Jambiani, and the experience was absolutely amazing! The hotel is newly opened, extremely modern, and very well maintained. The accommodation was spacious and very comfortable, with impeccable cleanliness. The property features two modern pools surrounded by numerous palm trees and lush vegetation, creating a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. The hotel’s restaurant serves delicious food, and the staff is incredibly attentive and friendly. Additionally, the owners of this wonderful place are exceptionally hospitable and dedicated, making the experience even more special. Everything at The Oasis Residence offers a unique vibe that is hard to find elsewhere. I highly recommend everyone to book a stay here without hesitation when planning a trip to Zanzibar.

I want to briefly tell you how great the hotel is. First of all, I will start by saying that the owner is an amazing person who welcomed us as if we were his friends. The beauty, aesthetics, every detail of the hotel has been thought out and done so well. In my opinion, you can have an amazing vacation in the hotel itself, just by not leaving the hotel yard. The outdoor seating area, the rooms, everything is extraordinary. As for breakfast, I can say that I've been to 35 countries and I've never had such a delicious breakfast in such a pretty atmosphere. Also, one evening, it was the owner's brother's birthday and we were invited, it was a very memorable evening. Thank you for everything! It is a very good hotel in terms of location and everything. 100% recommendation from us.

The stunning views and relaxed vibe greet you, setting the stage for an unforgettable and long week getaway (with a little bit of work 😊). The resort is absolutely lush, well kept, and beautiful with picturesque photo opportunities all around, especially at the beach. Our room was amazing, very cleaned, spacious and comfortable with a stunning ocean view and totally faultless. The staff are incredibly friendly, always ready with a smile. Their warm hospitality enhances the experience. The seafood at Breeze restaurant is a highlight, fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The international buffet dinner around the pool and the Swahili night at the beach with a Massai performance are a must to attend. A special shout-out to the Executive Chef Ali and his team for creating such memorable meals, during our entire stay. The resort offers multiple restaurants to enjoy with different thematic (Italian, Seafood, BBQ and Asian). We want to acknowledge a few super stars who made our stay extra enjoyable. Thank you to Clara, our adorable waitress who always took care of us with a smile and colorful eyeshadow 😊. She is so nice and felt like family by the time we left. Thank you to Hassan the fantastic Food and Beverage manager who made sure that we were very well looked after. He got his department fully under control and was present morning to night to be sure his guests are well taken care of. Finally, I want to personally thank the General Manager Mr. Javier and his management team. If the guest experience feels so enjoyable is also due to his leader who in the shadow of the actions makes sure the property is well run. Bravo!     This year we spent our Christmas vacation at the Riu Palace Zanzibar Hotel. It was already our second Christmas holiday in this hotel. I would like to thank you for the wonderful days spent in this hotel. Where to start? From the beach (beautiful clean beach, great service of beach boys and security), bar and restaurant staff very nice, attentive. Yohana always greeted us in the main restaurant with a nice smile (we thank him for always a nice welcome). Food quality very good. A mix of Indian, Italian and international cuisine. In my opinion, the rooms are beautiful, stylish, always beautifully cleaned and smelling :-) Every day before going to bed, they prepare your room again. At sunset, have a drink at the Ginger bar by the pool and take photos. Unforgettable! Special thanks to the Assistant General Manager Mr. Ghosh. An excellent person not only as a personality, but also from a professional point of view. Always available and willing to help. Thank you

    We really enjoyed our stay in Kendwa and definitely we will be back. The staff is amazing, super polite, respectful, good information from the reception from the day we arrived. The sea is absolutely amazing tho a bit wavy but nothing special or for concern. We stayed on the Bungalows and it’s close to everything. The beach is full of beds and you have as well the service button which is amazing you can eat and enjoy the beach at the same time. There is 8 bars so you have plenty to chose and you always have some entertainment. Even if you have kids it’s the perfect place they never get bored. There is a lot of water sports and as well Sky diving that I recommend if you have the courage to do it. Right outside of the hotel you have a few restaurants and a small supermarket in case you need. Every month they have the Full Moon Party that is super cool and if you have the chance try because it is worth.

    This place is the best stay of Zanzibar. It’s a tropical paradise, right by the beach and great location just a quick walk away from the famous rock restaurant. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, loved the decor and especially the outdoor bathroom gives a more island feel . The pool is warm and with great views . The staff is friendly, easy to book excursions with the team and they recommend what would be the best excursions for us . Everything was exceptional, definitely coming back for a girls trip there because it’s so peaceful, it’s was like an eat pray love Zanzibar experience.

    Except that it is well preserved beach and pool facilities. The hotel is one of a kind of its unique management and staff. They are all ultra friendly.     Truly enjoyed the pristine beach and the laid back nature of the place. Totally enjoyed several meals at Fish Restaurant which were absolutely delicious. I tried Kingfish, Changu, Perch, White Snapper, Prawns etc. The seafood was phenomenal. We also enjoyed seeing the turtles and the artwork at several curio shops. Also enjoyed an early morning boat ride seeing the dolphins. I can't believe how fast time went by. Looking forward to visiting Zanzibar again.

    Activities are great but most places are teeming with tourists. It's probably better to be taken for activities privately (price will be about the same anyways). Better to book through existing tour operators because the freelance guides always add extra onto the price. Night Food market is a must but be careful not to be ripped off, they just handed you plates of food & then charged a ridiculous amount afterwards. Cape Town Fish Market is a must for a sunset dinner. Prison Island & Nakupenda was average, they were overrun with people. The Spice Farms & Slave Chambers are a must to understand the passed history & Coral Caves have stunning natural pools to swim in deep underground. The North has Mnemba Island, great for snorkeling. The East is windy & good for Kite Surfing. The South is supposed to be good for deepsea fishing but myself & another group only caught white Snapper, no Game Fish.

    Paje is a very awesome and lively place to visit. As a solo traveller, I had no difficulty looking for activities, places to eat, or party, since they were all around. Definitely a place to visit over and over again

    Jerry is a wonderful Location next to the beach.

    Jerry is a wonderful Location next to the beach. We stayed there for 4 days and enjoyed it The staff was very helpful and supportive. The rooms are nice and clean. And Jambiani is a nice and quiet place to stay. Next time I would go there again.

    Kiwengwa is a perfect place to spend time with the family. Exquisit nature, kind people and the best food. Boat trips, beach activities, village strolls, getting to know the culture of local people who are very knowlegeable about the natural agriculture and extreemly kind and nice. We loved every minute of our stay at Kiwengwa.

    Matemwe is ideal for relaxing and spending quality time with friends and family. Matemwe is near Mnemba island 🏝️ for swimming with dolphins 🐬 . We rode bicycles 🚲 around the village and the place felt very safe. There are few alternative places for lunch or dinner. Not too far from stone town.

    The location is great, just a minute from the ocean, there are a lot restaurants both expensive and very local ones, no issues with electricity, hot shower and air-con and the safe box. Card and cash payment is acceptable. Very safe to stay and walk around even at night, the owner is very kind and trustworthy. Very basic breakfast but it OK, no TV and fridge in the room, internet is breaking so often especially in the room, but it works perfectly at the balcony. It is very budget friendly and highly recommend it.

    Michamvi is good for relaxing and enjoying . There are few vendors and they are not disturbing you and friendly. We stayed 25 days at Kikoi Boutique Resort and arranged all excursions on Zanzibar as well as a Safari with Sir Alex at Kikoi for reasonable prices and with good service . Their Cook Mister Mahaveer Sing is a real Master Chef and we enjoyed every meal he prepared us . Compliments to all the people working there. You made our stay unfogettable.     I loved that it was a proper reflection of the Island in that you took home the beauty of the place and kindness of the people. It was not loud or noisy and had very few touristy hotels and vendors hassling you

    This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten...

    This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten track... a village, by the sea, with an increasing number of resorts being added. I hope it does not lose its charm to the crowds. This is a quiet, special place.
