The city was very easy to navigate, it felt smaller and more manageable than expected. The T train was exceptionally easy to use and we always felt safe while riding it. There was a restaurant around every corner that took care of all of our hunger needs. We did a lot of walking and investigating - Our top 4 spots; 1) MFA - amazing! What an art collection! Easy to navigate and beautiful! 2) JFK Presidental Library - amazing! don't miss it! 3) Lexington and Concord - worth every moment, take the guided tour on the trolley! Loved it! 4) Harvard Museum of Natural History - check out the hand blown glass botanical collection and the Earth & Planetary Sciences exhibit! Every location reachable by the T. We will be back for more

Easy for roadtrip stopover, located off the intersection of two major highways I95 and I93. Perfectly easy to drive to Boston: downtown in 15-18 minutes straight away unless Boston itself might have a traffic jam but otherwise, very hassle free drive. Lots of hotels nearby to book, amenities in general. The Studio Café, 327, Main Street is a good coffee shop.

My stay in Somerville wasn't bad.

My stay in Somerville wasn't bad. The area I was staying, was right across from the Assembly Square Shopping area, which have a wide variety of stores to shop, restaurants to choose from, hotels, the orange line train stop is right there so you can get anywhere you want to go. It also has a nice scenic bike path along the water for you to enjoy. It's nice to walk or ride a bike around it. The casino is close you can even get to it from the bike path it takes you right to it. If you like going for walks or bike rides and nature this would be on my favs list. Then over by Assembly Shopping are, it's fairly new, there is a little bit of everything. Activities, sports, shopping, food, they have bowling and so many other fun things to keep you busy. It has everything you need for a good time.

Brookline is a well-to-do, leafy suburb of Boston. I don't know that you'd go there just for Brookline itself; but it was a great base for a 10-day work visit where most of my engagements were on the western side of the Boston city centre. Always felt safe even late at night.

My trip was of a personal nature.

My trip was of a personal nature. My Aunt was diagnosed with terminal cancer. My cousins and I spent time with her. I had a special one on one special day with her and went to all the places I grew up when I was a little boy. My Mom always wanted to "go back home." She only got to do that once. We moved to California when my stepfather's Apollo tracking ship (retrofitted at Quincy ship yard), was relocating to the west coast. My Mom died last year at 90 years old and my aunt is currently 88. I enjoyed the food immensely (hot Italian sausage and meatball sandwiches). My cousin also bought about 30 plus lobsters on the dock for only $7 each.

The hotel and the staff were nice and friendly but the hallways and the elevators were a bit dirty. The breakfast buffet lack things depending on the hour. It was not great. They do not clean your room just take away the trash and you have to ask for clean towels. It was not what I expected. A bit disappointed.
