Lenox seems more crowded than mid-town Manhattan in summer, especially weekends, but the town traffic control is very good and after many short stays in the area, it remains our choice destination. Be patient, find a place to park, then walk in the village. Make dinner reservations well in advance. Drive out to one of several near-by walking places (and/or drives). Choose from the many mansions open for touring in Lenox or within driving distance (e.g., The Mount (my favorite), Ventfort Hall, Arrowhead, etc.) and art museums nearby (the Clark Art in Williamstown is amazing). Stroll in the peaceful Berkshires Botanical Garden (Stockbridge). Make a plan and then deviate at will.Guest review byMaryUnited States - 4.0

I stayed in Pittsfield to visit the New Lebanon and Pittsfield Shaker villages. It was wonderful to see these historical places. Pittsfield is a bit sad as a town, a bit decayed... though they do have a theater and a concert hall.Guest review byLILIANAChile - 6.0

I didn't stay in Lee for anything that was in Lee, but for Lee's proximity to Stockbridge, and Lenox. Lee had nothing that I was interested in and I was only in the town when in my room ar the hotel.Guest review byWalshUnited States - 2.0

Good room and amenities but horrible staff and managers they r not autism friendly very inconsiderate and I wouldn't suggest bringing a large group of children because apparently walking around or laughing loudly is an issue my autistic childs issue were diseased when the ppl below us sounded on the ceiling scaring her and staff pounded on the door at 10pm scaring her again because they could hear the kids laughing at the sound of a TV when they were right on top of the door so unless it's a small group don't go and don't bring ur special needs kids there unless they can be perfectly silentGuest review byTina - 8.0

Stockbridge is charming, the Rockwell Museum and grounds are worth a trip. Good location to visit all of the Rte 7 Berkshires from the VT border to CT. Best food found in W.Stockbridge or Lenox and best shopping Great Barrington and The Mount, Botanical Gardens and Mt. Lenox is a small, pretty, quiet New England town.
Lenox is a small, pretty, quiet New England town. Summertime visit and everything is green and lush, and flowers are in bloom everywhere. Very little downtown area so you’l see it in a couple of hours at most and then you’re done. If you are going there to see a concert at Tanglewood, (also in Lenox), this is the town to stay. If you are going to the Berkshires for excitement, nightlife, however, it’s not happening here. Nice meal (late one lunch/early dinner) at the Old Heritage Tavern in their outdoor patio in back. All four of us were happy with our meal choices and very pleasant waitress. All the shopkeepers we came across (artist studios, home goods, clothing stores) were really friendly and helpful.Guest review byLaura - 8.0

We chose Pittsfield over Lenox because of their Friday evening Street Fair and choice of two theaters. The Clark Institute in Williamstown, MA, and Tanglewood, with performances of the Boston Symphony Orchestra (Summer only), are within easy driving distance.Guest review byHeinzUnited States - 8.0

We were having a special celebratory dinner for my husbands 92nd bday in Lenox ant Zinc. Great French food. This hotel was just a few min away. The scenery along the way was a riot of color with all spring blooms blossoming at once. The colors were gorgeous. Everything was set against bright spring green and chartreuse budding leaves. Its great in fall too but I think I’m loving the spring more. Also attended the Clark art institute as well as Mass MOCA. Both unique. Yes I’d say getting around with a gps was fairly easy.Guest review bysonyaUnited States - 10.0

It's a beautiful old New England village with a lot of history. This is where Norman Rockwell lived and there is a museum nearby. There is a lot to see and do in the Berkshires. Highly recommend visiting.Guest review byLisaUnited States
